We were in Melbourne for FIT graduation weekend. It was very convenient to stay at Super 8 because it was convenient to FIT, downtown and restaurants on the waterfront. Overall great facility

Worse stay I've ever had

We were there to memorialize my late husband's passing. We went back to our room after dinner, sat in the chairs and were talking about him and the good times. No TV on. No radio. Just a conversation. It was about midnight. The hotel staff knocked on the door and told us we were loud and a neighbor complained. We said we'd try to speak lower. Then the police knocked on the door and told us we had to leave due to a noise disturbance. For talking in our room? This place is ridiculous. Our of line. Uncalled for. They kicked us out, 2 women, at 12 at night and charged us an extra $250...all for speaking in our room.

Back of bathroom door was covered in hair. Room had an enormous dehumidifier in it - I didn't ask if there was a mold problem or if that was just a Florida problem. There were people hanging out in the tiny parking lot at all hours of the day and night. Staff is nice, the place is in a great location, and there was a surprising amount of breakfast options considering the tiny space they have to set it up. tl;dr You get what you paid for.

In the heart of Melbourne, the convenience of the location is superb. Comfortable rooms. Good beds and furnishings. Nice breakfast too. Great people! I like the rules. A lot of noise from the dehumidifier, traffic, and trains. May be problematic for light sleepers.
