Not bad but they could be better

Room was great and beds were comfortable. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is because the breakfast was lacking. This hotel, although almost identical to most in Olive Branch was more expensive than many but didn't offer any upgrades for the price, for instance a better quality breakfast. The biggest downside was that the lobby was under construction upon my arrival and during my stay and not only was I not aware of that before booking, the cost of the stay was not reduced due to the inconvenience!

My family and I checked in late night and was unaware of renovations at booking! Once settled into out room, we wanted to shower but the water trickled from the shower head. We were told that someone would come check it out. Of course that did not happened due to the late hour of check in. Next morning we were awakened to knocking and drilling before 10am on a Saturday morning. This was the worst stay. We had to get back on the road for a 10 hour trip with almost no shower and little sleep. The check in staff were great and very nice as well as the check out staff. They were very friendly and accommodating to our needs for as much as they could be.

The room is outdated, the shower curtain smells terrible, the elevator sounds scary making this loud noise. I understand they’re renovating their lobby/cafeteria but they should have serve a better breakfast, the only things they have for breakfast is the egg/ham & cheese sandwich that was too hard/rubbery and a few muffins. We end up checking out 2 days early and of course we couldn’t get a refund but that’s fine rather that staying in there. Will never come back there.

Wish there was some sort of notice or warning that this hotel was under heavy construction before booking. The staff was great and apologetic, no issues there. But the whole lobby was torn out and partitioned with tarps and the flooring in front of the elevators was completely ripped up, just leaving the carpet glue/caulk. The parking was limited due to construction trailers and containers. I picked this location out of the others in the area due to its ratings but was unfortunately let down.
