Room is good for family, location is safe and convenient. However, my hot water is broken, fluctuating between scalding hot and no hot water every minute. You gotta keep one hand busy fine tuning the knobs all the time. I told the front desk but no one cared to take a look in 5 days. Worst shower experience in any hotel.

This is a great location within walking distance to many of the monuments and museums as well as sights of the area. Always felt comfortable walking around and the staff was always helpful.

When in Mexico City, this is the best. Our first stay and it was absolutely perfect. The head staff: Julio, Daniel and Edmundo took care to be sure we got there from the Airport or bus station. While there, all 3 made sure our stay was to our total satisfaction. We had a great stay in Roma Norte. Perfect location. Safe neighbourhood. Staff were lovely. Tons of food places, bars and shops! The rooms itself are lovely and modern! But the cleanliness of it can be much better. The floors in the whole room are filthy. Clearly they haven’t been mopped in a long time. You cannot walk around the room barefoot without the bottom of your feet turning black. The water pressure in the bath is very low. There was issues with hot water now and then. Housekeeping can be requested for at an extra charge. We used the room to sleep only as we were out all day so we didn’t need the extra housekeeping. Overall it was a good stay. They need to be more thorough with the cleaning!

Overall a 3/5. The not so good: Quietness 3/10 (do I live on a college campus again?) Water pressure 1/10 (your body dries faster than the shower gets you wet - this is seriously an issue) No oven, no dishwasher Apartment layout is odd - the sofa faces the kitchenette Beds are meh, but the second room is inside so silent for kids or light sleepers Walls are scuffed up pretty bad in places Shower tiling looks scruffy and worn, needs regrouting The good: Location close to good restaurants and coffee shops, safe and easy to travel from Good flooring and door quality (yes, an odd thing to say, but true) Well appointed - blender, toaster, dishes, pots/pans etc. Very clean on entry Security at front desk (though they're often sleeping or on their phones, so hardly useful) Good communication from management via automated messages Strong and consistent wifi

Great Location, Cleaning & Communication Need Work

Simple as this: some good, some bad. The location is great, the price is more than fair, the beds are firm and comfy, and the room seemed overall well maintained from the appliances and aesthetics. However, the bathroom was just extra gross and attempts to make it better went completely ignored, so it's hard to say that this place should have the 9.4 rating it has when I booked it. The shower was covered in a black mold/scum that was slippery. The bath mat had the same black stains, either from mold or from a footprint. There was white soap scum all over the sink counter and mirror. It just seemed like they skipped cleaning the bathroom altogether. Add that the hot water lasted all of 30 seconds or didn't even drip out of the shower head at all during our weeklong stay, it just wasn't a nice experience when using the restroom. When we asked them to come clean we were told we could book cleaning for a fee. When explaining that the bathrooms were not up to an initial cleanliness standard when we checked in, they said they would "send someone right away" while we were out, but no one ever came. Emailed management for help, no response. And when asking about how to get the hot water running the response was "turn on the tap." I don't know if every bathroom is as bad as ours, but if you value cleanliness, then I would consider paying a few extra bucks. I can overlook some comforter stains (which there were) but paying to wear sandals in the shower isn't cool with me.

Dirty will it stay here again

We have stayed at this hotel almost exactly a year ago. We stayed for a whole week to explore Mexico City. This stay the room seemed extremely dirty. The walls in the room were dirty. Including the bathroom. Honestly I am rating this based off the bathroom. I am not exaggerating when I say the bathroom was disgusting. The shower had soap scum all over the tiles. The grout looked full of mold. The corners of the bathroom were black. And to top everything off the main light in the room didn’t work so it was very dark in the room. Our room was not once cleaned in our week stay. We were also not given any additional towels. Throughout the week. We loved the first time we stayed but this last time was horrible. Will not stay here ever again. Also when we checked in the front desk person was very rude. Only upside is that it’s in a great part of town

We booked the two bedroom, one bathroom family apartment and it was perfect for our family of 2 adults 1 teenager. The small kitchenette proved unexpectedly helpful for ensuring we all ate breakfast on days where we had outings with early departure times. The only nitpicks I could offer is that the hallway noise really travels albeit guests were generally quiet and our shower tile was looking a little worse for wear. Those are not deterrents for us and we’d definitely book a stay for our family here again.

Needs improvement.

If everything would have worked as expected, I would give this property 4 stars. But hot water was practically non-existent for the first 2 days. When I asked the front desk they initially said it's because I was on a high floor and that's just how it is. Disappointing, but they did send maintenance to look. Maintenance asked us to leave the hot water valves on in the bathroom while he went and inspected the system. We were heading out the door and were told that the front desk staff would let him back in when needed. However, he never came back. So a few hours later when we returned hot water was running and our place was a sauna. Full of steam, the walls in the entire unit were covered in water. The floors were soggy and wet. Front Desk came to help clean and I asked for complimentary housekeeping which they said would be arranged for the following day...Which also never came, and when I asked about why I received a small apology and an excuse that it was a crazy day. I was also informed that we were already entitled to a free cleaning but not once was this ever mentioned. Hot water worked that same evening, but the following days it would only stay hot for about 2 minutes. That's tough and impractical when traveling as a family of 4. So throughout our 6 days at ULIV Cibeles we only had one adequate shower and no cleaning service - though requested, especially after the inconveniences. I must say that at least the Front Desk employee was friendly.

For a self sufficient traveler, this is a great option. Newer property in a great, walkable location close to lots of attractions. Staff is available to assist, but don’t come looking for your hand to be held. This was my second time here and there will be more visits ahead.
