My stay was horrible. I was in Miami for only the weekend so it was important for me to sleep well to take advantage of the weekend. However, the smoke detector in my room was low battery so it was beeping. It started at midnight and woke my sister and I up. It continued to beep throughout the night, in intervals of 30 minutes. It did not stop until 4am, when the device died. I texted the hotel phone line after the second beeping and they said they wouldn’t be able to help until the next morning (which didn’t even happen). The concept of the virtual front desk is inconvenient unless you won’t need anything at all. Even when you do text the help line during their regular hours, they do not tell you a time when they will come help. For example, I texted for beach towels and they could not guarantee a time they would deliver them, just anywhere within their regular working hours of 9-5… this is not the staff’s fault. The staff was great. It is the way management has set up this “virtual front desk”. I would not recommend to stay here unless you literally have no other option, and hopefully your smoke detector is not low battery like ours was.
