The hotel was wonderful, but the restaurant service and food was way below par. In fact one of the dishes, Lox and Bagel was so bad that it had to be sent back to avoid being sick. We eat out often and I cannot recall when we last had to send food back. The restaurant service was so bad. We had to ask for our coffee 3-4 times after the food arrived. They did take the coffees off the bill and didn’t charge for the Lox and Bagel. We were not looking for a bargain in price and that is also why we picked the Gabriel Hotel. Nice stay, but please go to one of the neighbor restaurants for food.

Excellent stay, great ammenities

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The amenities were really enjoyable--and we didn't even dine there, use the gym, or experience the chairs on the beach (so many fun things to do!) There was a little bit of rudeness upon our stay when trying to check in--front desk attendant was stuck on the phone, and asked us to check in with the concierge, but he did not want to deal with us and made us wait. Other than that rude exchange, the entire experience was excellent, and I am planning to return.

We stayed here for three nights on a girls trip. The hotel itself is definitely the best hotel in the touristy area of South Beach-- it does not get better than this. Pool was amazing, right across from the beach, and nice, updated rooms and facilities. The only issue that I had with the infrastructure itself is that the double queen rooms are small!! With four adult women, we were really cramped. Service at the hotel is not the best. We had to request towels and toilet paper 3x during our stay and each time it took a long time to be serviced.

Good Central Hotel with Beach Views

We had one of the ocean view rooms with a balcony overlooking Ocean Drive, which was definitely worth the money for the breezes and beach vibes. We enjoyed the bigger pool on the ground level more than the rooftop one, but also a nice amenity. Food and drinks from the property were decent; service was a bit lacking, but we found that was common around Miami. Great location and would stay again.
