Excellent stay with one exception. The patio switch to open the door was inoperative. This made bringing in suitcases challenging as the doors were quite "stiff". I notified the desk staff on two occasions but they seemed quite indifferent. It was not fixed during our two day stay.

This is probably the nicest hotel I've stayed at for this price. I've paid $130/night at chain hotels that have given bare bones experiences before, but this was a great, clean room in a beautiful hotel. Staff was very kind as well. Parking was at garage on the corner of the street, but the walk over only takes a minute. There's a cute ice cream shop across the street as well.

I really enjoyed my stay here and the staff was quick to correct a few issues that arose. But — I got charged for two cocktails after check out when I only enjoyed one of them. There were three cocktails when I checked in and two remained when I left. When I called to follow up on the charges, they said that housekeeping marked that two were used, even though it should have been only one. They didn’t correct the issue, so I essentially paid $40 for a pre-made Old Fashioned. Not cool. I will find somewhere else to stay on my next trip out to see my family.

This is a charming building that has been turned into a hotel. One of our favorite places to stay in Kenosha. The area is cute and during summer you can walk to the outdoor market and lots of great shops and restaurants.

If you don’t mind dragging your suitcase up 3 flights of 10 steps just enter the front door where no one greets you, no bellhop in sight, and you feel like you’ve entered a courtroom, after Driving 1 hr from the airport, then this is the place for you. If you don’t mind 3 unsmiling employees sitting behind a desk, while you struggle with you suitcase , this is, again, the hotel for you. I keenly felt like I was disrupting the nice day the three people behind the desk was having. Worst of all, they don’t allow pets!?!? The only thing they consistently well is charge exorbitant prices so you can feel good about yourself when you tell friends you stayed at the Stella. I’ll take the Hampton Inn over in 6th street which is right in the water, a walking/running path, and you’re welcomed like family for a lot less. Stay away from Stell!
