Hands-down, the friendliest and most helpful staff team I’ve ever experienced! After staying at hundreds, if not a thousand or more hotels, this one is my favorite for so many reasons! Great staff (as I’ve mentioned), quaint & historic hotel, but with all the modern amenities. Love their pool/hot tub/sauna area! This is one of very few hotels that has a sauna, and it’s fantastic! We had a room on 4th floor overlooking pool—very cool ambience! Rooms clean and modern! Area is safe and quiet, despite being steps from the downtown Minneapolis scene! Their water purifier stations throughout the hotel produce some of the best drinking H20 we’ve had! Last, but not least, the omlet at their restaurant was superb! Try it; you won’t be sorry (I distain onions, but the hint of caramelized onions paired with the hollandaise was out of this world! The only criticism I can retrieve from the experience is the somewhat low water pressure in sink and shower (shower, btw, is dual head!). But, hey, the environment and all, so I’m hesitant to even mention it, as I’ll gladly sacrifice a tiny bit of additional water pressure to support water conservation.

The man who checked us in on 8/30 was so welcoming and kind. He told us of all amenities and when he found out we were going to the baseball stadium, he told us of the shuttle. He also asked us how we were enjoying our stay every single time he saw us. 10/10 customer service!

I have stayed here on multiple occasions. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom has plenty of room. Shower has 2 heads, one being a rain head. They have Osmosis water available. Bring your own cups for beverage, as they only have glass glasses. There is a Keurig in the room. Coffee provided was ok. The pool is a nice area. Hot tub is hot like it should be. They have added a ping pong table to pool area, which was quite popular during my stay. There is also comfortable furniture in the pool area.On the outside of pool area complimentary coffee is provided by machine. You can get 6 different types. Note: parking is $15 daily. Check in and out is efficient. There is a grill and bar on property. Food is ok. I consider it expensive. If possible , get the bed and breakfast promo. It will save you some money. This hotel is centrally located to all things you want to do in downtown Minneapolis. Vikings,Twins,1st ave and plenty of other venues.

This may have been the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in, and my room was beautifully clean. The hotel staff was so friendly and kind, and I loved the warm cookies in the lobby in the evenings!

Our first time in Minneapolis and we landed at this gem! Girls weekend for State Fair and exploring the city- and this hotel was a wonderful home base! Walkable to Blue and Green rail lines so it made getting to airport and Mall of America so convenient! Walkable area to lots of fun bars and restaurants or easy Uber/Lyft pickup. Lovely bar/restaurant in the hotel with great service. Menu had a good variety and food was good- try the fried green tomatoes! I also recommend the “Normandy” house cocktail- quite lovely! We enjoyed the historic charm and all the amenities- soaking in the pool, spa and sauna after a full day at the fair was heaven. Top ratings to the front desk staff for their welcoming smiles and helpful advice- I highly recommend this hotel and am sure we will visit again!

My go-to Minneapolis hotel!

This is my second stay at the Normandy when visiting Minneapolis. I have lots of family in the area and my oldest goes to college nearby. The location is great. Plenty of parking. Beautiful interior. It’s updated but still feels historic. We stayed in a suite this time and it was so spacious. Front desk staff is friendly and we had a few drinks at the bar which was amazing! I highly recommend this hotel and will continue to return here.
