I have never reviewed hotel but I feel obligated to let people know this place is horrible. Where do I even begin? To be fair the checkin process went well but downhill from there. I decided to grab a quick app at the bar so I ordered the flatbread. It turned out to be soggy pizza. I then went up to my room which was the most poorly light room I've ever stayed in. The carpet was flithy, there were cobwebs, there was mold in the bathroom and the paint was peeling of the walls. My room was right next to the light rail so I asked to change rooms which they gladly did. The next room was equally crappy. I went off to work and picked up my wife who was joining for the rest of the stay. When we got to the hotel there were 2 cars in the guest loading zone so I had to park down the street and help my wife maneuver through the ice and snow. When we got to the hotel I realized that one of the cars in the loading zone was there when I left the hotel 6 or 7 hours earlier. I was upset about having to walk a pretty good distance to drop my wife so I asked about the car parked in the loading zone. Turns out it was the manager's car. I totally blew a gasket and what made it worse is her telling me there was nothing wrong with taking up the space for the day. I said I was going to call the owner of the poroperty. She told me 'go ahead.' Are you F ing kidding me? Can't make this stuff up.

Quaint, comfortable, beautiful and historical hotel close to everything. Breakfast was fresh and hearty. There was some city noise at night that did wake up individuals in our party. Workout room was small but well stocked with several machines and some heavier hand weights. Staff was outstanding!!

I loved the decor, but people were over hyping the breakfast. The low rating is for poor heating. The heat was off and the room was freezing. We put the heat on low and went to a hockey game. Now the room was sweltering. No temp control gauge. Room next rush had the same issue. Had to turn het off to sleep and woke up freezing

The Celeste of St. Paul is a treasure. It's an old convent restored with original woodwork, windows, artwork. Staff were very pleasant. Our room was small but the mattress and pillows were some of the best in any hotel I ever stayed at. Complimentary breakfast included sausage, eggs, potato cubes, cereal, apples, oranges, many juices, yogurt, french toast, etc. The dining room itself included original windows with stained glass borders, chandeliers, high ceiling, two large religious pictures (not quite the height of the walls), one of Mary, the other of St. Joseph holding Jesus as a toddler. As for parking, we had to stay at a lot next to the hotel which cost $24 max for 24 hours. The reason I gave 4 stars was because the floor didn’t look well vacuumed, with a peanut in plain site next to a wall....This was the second time we stayed at the Celeste. We love the atmosphere of the place and are grateful the convent was bought by conscientious people who mained so much of the interior beauty.
