Hotel: Coratel Inn and Suites by Jasper My stay at Coratel Inn and Suites by Jasper was disappointing on multiple levels. The property is undergoing major renovations, but unfortunately, they are doing so while remaining open to guests. This creates a chaotic and uncomfortable environment. There was active tree trimming and construction happening during my stay, and parking was a serious issue—I was blocked into my spot due to the work being done. Park at your own risk. The outside of the hotel is poorly maintained and in clear need of both repair and upkeep. There is no elevator for this two-story hotel, which is important to know if you have mobility concerns or heavy luggage. Inside the room, conditions weren’t much better. While the room itself was somewhat clean, the bathtub had black mold, and the shower didn’t drain properly, causing water to back up around your feet—definitely bring shower shoes. Other in-room issues included a non-functional TV, and a mini fridge sitting on a tray that had to be rocked back and forth just to open or close it. There was also only one working ice machine in the entire hotel. Security is another concern. The side entrance door remained unlocked all day and night, which does not make for a safe or secure environment. From what I observed, this property seems to cater more to individuals in need of short-term or transitional housing. While that’s not inherently an issue, the hotel still needs to meet basic standards for cleanliness

This hotel had homeless people sleeping inside as well as there were section 8 voucher people checked in. They were working on the hotel as well and that was not noted when looking for hotels in the area. There were also homeless families in their vehicles outside the hotel and cooking on grills outside. The inside tub was dirty and disgusting that we could not use. There was not hot water to mention. This place needs to be removed as an available listing on most travel site. We requested a refund due to these reasons and checked out early.

The outside is a lot better than the inside. Our first room had a shower head hanging off of a hose with no place to hang it for a shower, smelled of mold, and the TV didn't work. Got moved to another that smelled worse but had a working tv. If there was enough in the budget for the trip to move hotels we would have. Won't be staying there again.

Older facility, carpets on stairs and in hallways were black with dirt, wet liquid from trash bags on the tile walkway adjacent to front office. 2nd floor ice maker not working. Outer doors propped open presenting a safety hazard. Linens were old and thin. Only bread and cereal available for breakfast. There were only two positives: quick response from staff when we reported the remote was not working, and the room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was quite late when checked in after a long drive, which is the only reason we stayed. We do not recommend and will not stay again.

We only stayed for one night, so there isn’t much of a review to give. However, our stay was pleasant and the room was nice and roomy. The location was amazing. There was so much around to choose from, dining wise.

There were literal holes in the hallway floors hidden under patterned carpet so you couldn’t see until you tripped in it. The rooms are not cleaned properly; first room had stained sheets, bits on candy in the corners of the floor, hair in the shower, and someone’s fake rose petals stuck in the jets of the jacuzzi. They changed our room right away but the second room still had sand on the floor and hair in the shower. I booked this property specifically for the jacuzzi but after learning that they obviously don’t clean the jets I was not comfortable using it. Filled out the feedback form in the room with my information so that management could respond and have not heard anything a month later. Sent an email regarding a jacket I had forgotten as we are not from the US and I did not have cell service, only data, ended up calling them long distance 3 days later because they never responded to the email.
