Overall the place was VERY clean, some things not updated in the rooms, but better than others in the area.
My trouble was with the overnight desk clerk.
I went to my car & got locked outside around 4:30am. I went to try to ask the guy at the front desk to re-magnetize my key card because it wasn’t working. He completely ignored my request and asked if I had dogs in my room. My response, “yes I do”. He then started that I would be charged, I responded “Oh?” & asked the cost. He told me how much it would be and I said okay.
I’m guessing he thought that I would be upset or try to fight the charge. After about 30 seconds of silence & him clicking on the computer, I assumed he was in the process of activating the room key card. He was not. Out of nowhere he started screaming at me about the hotel not allowing animals (which I didn’t know) & how people have allergies. I stated that I didn’t know the hotel didn’t allow animals, as there were no signs & I was not told at check-in. He screamed that I “knew what it was” & I’m “just trying to play games to get over”. I then asked how I was trying to get over when I said I will accept whatever charges, because I didn’t know pets were not allowed. At that point he said he felt threatened (he was sitting behind the desk & I was about 15ft away from him), went into a back room & claimed to call the police to kick us out. No one ever came, but this was the worst experience I’ve had at a Marriott brand hotel & probably won’t go back.
