Really cool vibe and an amazing rain shower. Very friendly staff and awesome quirky amenities. Walkable to lots of good dining and entertainment options. Expect a rock and roll vibe, and this place is not for people who go to bed at 9pm and expect silence. The redesigned Lake Street and Hennepin are a disaster though, not sure who or why they designed that one lane/bus lane chaos or what they were even thinking. I feel really bad for the businesses there and it’s just too bad that this city deprioritized its businesses to such an extent. Expect traffic to be a big headache getting in and out of this neighborhood. It is designed to be upscale and dense, to be a magnet for visitors, but then has terrible access. Makes no sense at all and they should’ve taken better notes from bigger cities with more thriving neighborhoods. Plenty of parking once you get there, though.

Nice place, liked the artwork. And the free coffee. The bar was cool too. Rooms are pretty cramped for two. No room frig was disappointing. Could have used more breakfast items in the To Go frig in the lobby. All in all, great room.

Very unique and was not expecting that. Parking was an issue. In a busy, crowded section of Minneapolis that was not for me. Could hear adjoining room during the night and a ruckus outside on the street.

Chic spot for the minimalist

Right in the uptown district. Do not park anywhere on the street or unpaid lot or ramp. You will get towed which we found out the hard way. Rooms are small. Small small. Cute retro feel and clean. Bar was closed. No food. Hotel vibe is geared to young metro. We were there for a local event that was walking distance from hotel so that was nice as there arent many properties in the area.

Tiny rooms, thin walls, dorm vibes.

We did not enjoy our stay at Moxy Uptown. The room is absolutely tiny. There was about 1-2 feet of room around the bed, so you have to use the hooks on the wall or shove your luggage in a corner. The walls are very thin, so our room came with a sound machine for sleeping. Also, the shower drips nonstop every two seconds into the metal drain under the showerhead after you shower, and it is super loud and echoes. Keep this in mind if you are staying with someone in the room and have to get up before them. There is plenty of free, street parking, you just have to park on the other side of the block that you pull into. It seems like they want you to park across the street in the pay lot, but it is just as far away as the free, street parking. We got two drink tokens and went down 30-minutes before bar close. They were short and told us they were done serving, even though the bar area was completely full of people drinking. In the morning, I went downstairs to get coffee. There was none. After walking the dog, I came back 30 minutes later, there still was no coffee. After we went down to check out, there was finally coffee being brewed. We were not able to get any. The staff was friendly, it just was not a professional hotel stay overall. I would not stay here again.
