The villa lies 500 meters from the charming village of Montecchio in a hilly location with great panoramic views. From the villa you have a panoramic sight on the valley of the Tevere and the village self. The property has an own garden with swimming pool (equipped with parasols and sun loungers), there are also 2 bikes at disposition. The whole property is for private/excluive use of the tenant. It is suitable for up to 8 persons. There are 3 bedrooms (two with double bed and one with 2 single beds, there are also two extra beds available). The two bedrooms on the first floor have air conditioning. In front of the house there is a porch with table and chairs to eat outdoor and enjoy the panoramic views. There is also barbecue at disposition to cook. The villa has one the ground floor: a well equipped kitchen, dining and living area, bedroom with double bed and a bathroom. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All the most common household appliances are available. Wi-fi internet connection available. In the village of Montecchio thereare: bar, baker, 2 butchers (by one it's also possible to buy cooked meals), small supermarket, grocery store, pharmacy. There are 3 more supermarkets and other shops in Baschi (11km). Big supermarket, often open on Sunday, available in Orvieto Scalo close to the motorway exit. Recommendend restaurants: La Perla (in the centre of the village of Montecchio, it has also takeaway service), Sala della Comitessa (Baschi, 11 kms), Casa Vissani (Baschi at 11 kms...high quality but very expensive), Il fontanile (7 kms from Montecchio). At 10 km it is possible to visit the Falesco winery (visits and tasting from Monday to Friday).
From Montecchio it's possible to reach quickly the principal cultural and naturalistic beauties of Umbria, Rome and northern Lazio, southern Tuscany (it's at 20kms from the motorway Rome-Florence, exit Orvieto). The train station of Orvieto is at 25 Kms, from the train station it is possible to reach Rome and Florence in around 1h30.

Certainly a Bellavista view!

Very comfortable property and well equipped. Excellent communication with the owner. Montecchio is a very historic village and worth a wander around. Only a 10 minute walk from villa. The view from the villa is beautiful and it is very peaceful. Enjoyed the pool. A lovely relaxing stay.

Lovely house, great views!

This is a lovely, comfortable house in a great location for exploring Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio.We really enjoyed discovering the many hilltop villages as well as visting places such as Orvieto, Montefalco etc. Lovely views from the terrace of the village. We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed the visits from the friendly local cats! Claudia was very helpful when we had a minor issue with the fridge, she responded straight away and a new fridge delivered the next day. You need to factor in the additional cleaning cost of €150, this is not advertised in the listing to my knowledge and I was only aware of it once I had paid the balance and received the rental agreement. Overall, a lovely stay, lovely house and great location.

Fijn huis van alle gemakken voorzien (op airco na) buitenluiken die dicht kunnen dus goed donker in de slaapkamers (luiken staan niet op de foto's). Leuk dorpje in de buurt waar je goed kan eten, alles op z'n italiaans Goed en snel contact met de host. Zeker een aanrader

Magnifique maison parfaitement équipée avec une vue exceptionnelle sur la vallée du Tibere

La maison est très agréable, décorée avec goût et soin . Elle est d'une grande propreté. Tous les équipements nécessaires sont disponibles et en parfaite état. Le jardin est vaste, ombragé avec une très belle vue sur la vallée et le village de Montecchio qui se rejoint facilement à pied. Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour.

geweldig

wij hebben een geweldige tijd gehad in de woning, wij zijn heerlijk tot rust gekomen en de omgeving verkend, je moet wel rekening houden dat het niet toeristische is en dat moet rijden als je gaat uit eten. dit huis met zwembad is zeker een aanrader. ook zijn wij geweldig geholpen door Claudia waarvoor nogmaals dank. groet Roy en Mirjam.

Il nostro soggiorno è stato piacevole .La casa è fornita di tutto (decisamente oltre la media) molto pulita .Piscina non grande ma più che adeguata.La proprietaria signora Claudia molto disponibile. Il paese molto carino facilmente raggiungibile anche a piedi o in bici disponibili nella proprietà .Migliorabili materassi e cuscini. Soggiorno al casale Bellavista molto consigliato. Giuseppe

Prachtig huis vlakbij dorpje Montecchio

Heel leuk en mooi vakantiehuis op loopafstand van het dorp (cappuccino en cornetto in de ochtend!). Uitrusting keuken zeer uitgebreid. Ondanks de grote warmte bleef het huis (benedenverdieping) koel en door het windje was het ook onder de overkapping heerlijk vertoeven. Af en toe natuurlijk een duik in het zwembad. Kortom een geweldig vakantiehuis in een mooie omgeving. Een aanrader! Kitty Smit

Das Verlassen dieses Orts fällt schwer.....

Entspricht komplett den Beschreibungen / Bildern, keine bösen Überraschungen, freundliche, hilfsbereite Anbieter. Traumhafte ländliche Aussichtslage, super geeignet für Urlaub mit Hunden, Zaun zur Straße, großes Grundstück, Wanderwege in der Nähe. Gute Ausstattung, sauber, liebevoll und hochwertig eingerichtet. Im Gegensatz zu anderen alten Steinhäusern schlechtwetter-geeignet. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe, man will aber eigentlich nicht weg.... Sehr zu empfehlen!

Beautiful view of Montecchio. Quiet and very private.

Montecchio is small with few amenities. However, it has a small grocery store and La Perla restaurant was very good. Be careful though it is not open for long in the evenings. You really need to drive to Orvieto for serious grocery shopping which is about 27 km away so be prepared.

A charming house with quite a view :)

Everything is matching the description. It´s a lovely "holiday base" in the heart of Umbria. We used it to explore Umbria from the westcoast to the mountains in the east. From Florence to Rome ... enjoying the terrace and the pool at our chillout days. The manager Guido is available on short notice by chat for all your questions. Thanks a lot for that! We can highly recommend this place! Why only 4 out of 5 stars? Well, here and there the features / equipment could use some minor improvements - but nothing which would affect your holiday per se ... ;) Try it out!

Beautiful Villa - a real home from home

My husband, daughter and I wanted a holiday where we could de-stress, do a bit of tourism and cook, which we don't get to do enough with work/university. This was the perfect villa for that. The villa is lovely with lots of little touches that add to the comfort of the place. The kitchen is amazingly well stocked with everything you could need to get culinary - remember rural Italians do everything by hand so it was fun making pasta without a Kitchenaid machine!! Fun The bedrooms are comfortable and all have large fans for those hot nights. There are three tables - two inside and one outside which is well shaded and near the kitchen. The living rooms - one upstairs and one downstairs - are great for when you want to cool down. The downstairs one feels like there is air conditioning it is so cool The pool looks small from the photo but is much larger than you would think, it comfortably allowing two people to swim together. It is also a great width for water volleyball if you bring a net (Drape the hose over the wall and tie the net to it and to the metal fence to the right and voila) The villa is perfectly situated for sightseeing Montecchio village is a 2 minute drive away and has a small store, butchers, green grocers. It also has 4 restaurants (2 of which were open). Ristorante La Perla is traditional Italian with antipasti and Guinea Fowl, Rabbit, Pasta etc. It also does beautiful pizzas but only on certain days?? when that is all they do?? We got pizza on the Sunday we arrived, tired and just wanting a takeaway - it was delicious Kilometro Zero was also lovely. Here the young owners speak good english and the food was pasta and meat cooked on a barbecue in the restaurant - delicious Be aware that this is Italy - the restaurants do not open until 7.30pm - people eat late here Rome is 1.5 hours away There is a wonderful Olive Farm - Bartolomei - 5 mins down the road just past Montecchio where we had a great tour through the trees and museum then an amazing lunch - my favourite Our daughter went truffle hunting and learnt to make traditional pasta There are a lot of high villages/towns with cathedrals and monasteries, the best being Olivetti Guido and Claudia are really helpful and you can contact them any time for advice
