I love the property, however I would prefer to get real Jamaican food at least 1 or 2 nights just in the culture. I had to go off the resort which wasn’t in my plan. Everything else was amazing

Best food was at the Jerk Hut. Reservation restaurants take too long to serve, too much lag time between order and receiving food. Splash Pad/waterpark was closed Wednesday morning when it should’ve been open.

I was highly disappointed. When I booked my trip I booked a room with a double bed and an ocen view. I paid additional for the ocean view. However, I received a room with one bed and a sofa bed. The room i received was completely blocked by palm trees hence I could not see the ocean. When i spoke to management I was told that it is Travelocity fault because they knew that asking for a room with a double bed and ocean it was only a recommendation and was not guaranteed so, why did i pay additional fees. The second day of my trip management at the resort reached out to me and said that they are overbooked and can change my room but it would be a room worst than the one I was in. I feel like it was a bait and switch, I did not received what i paid for

I was promised a garden view and didn't get that view, but rather a building next door with a zinc roof. I complained about mosquitoes in my room, and nothing was done. Then, the room was infested with roaches. The comforter smelled like the last guest's perfume.

The roaches were in the bathroom, bedroom and even running on the minibar.

This was the only outlet and I couldn't get a drop cord to use so I had to charge my devices in the bathroom only

Beautiful property with lots of options for a family. Arrival was a bit bumpy as we had been traveling all day and then had to drag our bags to the 4100 building. Really wanted golf cart after traveling all day lol. Not sure if all families stay there or if it is just where we landed. We walked over 15 k steps a day. Great if you have fitness goals as I did not gain on this trip may be a concern if you have mobility issues. Would be great to have movie night options. There is a great space they use for yoga that would be a great outdoor theater at well with a projector, snacks and pillows and blankets it would be perfection. Food was great at the restaurants. Buffet was a bit of a mad house and not for people with social anxiety. Wish there was an option outside of the buffet for breakfast. Burgers and jerk chicken at the pool are great lunch alternatives to the buffet. I’m horrible with names but our housekeeper-Rashawnda I think was amazing and so kind to my kiddos. There is a bartender at the main swim up bar with a birthmark on his right cheek-who is a rockstar. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. So find him, tip him and your drink needs are met for the trip. You can also ask for a less sugary option for drinks and he will hook you up. Go ahead and request magic in a cup, you won’t regret it. Booking with Expedia will get you Miss June to help with anything you want to do and transport. She is an Earth angel and helped us so much!

My family and I was extremely upset that after being up since 2am in the morning, driving and hour to catch 2 planes that we had to drag our luggage 1/2 mile to our room (tracked) only to find out there was NO elevator to get to our room on the second floor. Because of this we didn’t come out of the room to join for a lot of what was going on because of the walk and climbing 49 steps. This was my first trip since breaking my leg last August and it was extremely taxing on me. They also did not have room service and my granddaughter and I was stopped from bringing food to my husband who is a diabetic. After pleading with these people and getting permission 15 min. later, I was allowed to bring him a salad and some fruit. I love Jamaica but will NEVER stay at the RIU again. If you can look past all that, the facility was nice and the staff was for the most part nice.

I had a great overall experience most of the staff were friendly, energetic, and helpful. The food was enjoyable, and despite the intense heat from the sun, the cool breeze at the location made the atmosphere more comfortable. However, one takeaway for me involved the gym policies. While the only posted rule stated that individuals under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, there was no clear dress code displayed. I was denied entry into the gym by a staff member for wearing Under Armour shorts, a sports bra, and flat shoes. When I asked about the official gym policies, I was told to raise my concern with the front desk. I did so and requested to speak with a manager for clarification. Instead of receiving a direct explanation or update, I was informed via email that the matter was under investigation. In my opinion, this situation could have been handled with more transparency and professionalism.

It. My biggest complaint was the ride from the airport was ridiculous we were only suppose to have 3 stops before our hotel and it was eight so the first day was wasted we didn’t get to the hotel for 4 hours on a bus. Take private transportation it’s worth it. My only complaint was my room was hot I waited 3 days before I said something then they fixed it. The food was good expect I wish they changed up the menu a little basically it was the same choices daily. Overall we had a great trip
