A Memorable Stay at Riu Ocho Rios I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Riu Ocho Rios Hotel, thanks to its exceptional staff and engaging entertainment. Housekeeper Kerone kept our room immaculate, adding delightful touches with daily bed and curtain decorations. Front desk manager Shanika was professional and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met with warmth and efficiency. The entertainment team excelled in keeping guests engaged throughout the day with diverse activities and outstanding shows. A special mention goes to Fabian, whose energy and dance moves were truly captivating. While the dining experience offered authentic Jamaican dishes, the flavors lacked the traditional seasoning I anticipated. Additionally, only Tabasco sauce was available, and I would have preferred a Jamaican hot sauce option. However, server Fitzroy enhanced our meals with his attentive and personalized service, quickly learning our preferences and always greeting us by name. Overall, the outstanding staff at Riu Ocho Rios made our stay remarkable. Their dedication and hospitality ensure I will choose this hotel for future visits.

Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay here. The family room was perfect for us. We had a lot of fun on the water slides. The beach was really nice. The food was good and the grounds were very clean. We had a great time and would visit this resort again.

The WiFi network was very poor and I couldn’t get any reservation for dinner in any of the restaurants each one I tried to reserve was unavailable had eat all meals from the buffet restaurant

The property is great overall and well maintained from the landscaping, the dining areas, hallways and pool. I couldn’t have asked for anything to be cleaner. Staff was helpful and there is also an excursion specialist on site should you want to book activities and the prices were reasonable. There is also a list of various activities throughout the day and in the evening that can accommodate anyone of any age. The foam party was a hit and the one spot that is open 24 hours should you want a smoothie, a drink, coffee, etc.

The options for activities were great and nightly shows. Staff was helpful and diligent about keeping the property clean as well as following the protocol. Property is dated and the room smelled moldy. When I returned home, all of my clothing had the odor. They also messed up my reservation somehow and did not have the second guest on it, so I had to pay an additional $850 at the front desk to get my son on the property. They made no effort to help me find a resolution with Expedia and told me that they would reimburse me. They did not and instead stated that it was the hotel’s responsibility. The dining was fair at best and a lot of the entertainment was subpar.
