The resort has “Do Not Feed The Cats”. They have (4) I counted that have free reign of the resort…walking through eating area while dining. Why not get rehome them. My son was bitten by one and they didn’t even have a first aid kit - nursing station closed. Double room had 1 tv inside one bedroom. Best thing was Crystal pregnant gave excellent dining service.

The Royal Decameron Runaway Bay is definitely a place I would consider revisiting, however, the only issue I had from the first day stay (5/25-5/30) to checking out, the wifi. Wifi was the worst. Also my sister in law stayed in a me m I really have no compaints about the location, service, and the hospitality of the workers. I am hoping i uavent incurred anoy charkw

The staff were very friendly, food was great, property very clean quiet and safe! What i did not like was that the tv was not clear and the wifi was horrible! I informed the front desk several times and nothing was corrected. They did try to assist but I was told that it was an i.t issues. I was however offered a change of room the day before my departure which i appreciated but had to decline. So no tv or netlix on my phone for me the entire time. And because the wifi was in and out, i now have a whopping phone bill because the service kept jumping on and off which i wasnt aware of. I thought i was safe once i hit connect. Go figure

Con’s This hotel is old!! Staff don’t give a crap about tourist can’t even get change for US currency. Don’t waste your money. there are better hotels in Jamaica for what you paying. Beach is rocky and you can’t really swim in it very shallow. You can’t check in early they charge you $28 US. For early check-in. Pro’s Food is good The bar is ok also You can walk outside to the local shops and restaurants. I was very disappointed because I heard this hotel was great place in the past.

My 3 out of 5 experience

Loved the property; the beach and the landscape. Customer service at the front desk was also good. Entertainment specifically “ showtime was poor” as the entertainment was not pleasing. Better entertainment options needed. More variety of dancers and singers were needed.. Food quality was good however more culinary options were needed. Additionally more supervision was needed in the main food area, as many times the food trays were empty and needed replenishing in a timely manner. Due to this there was always a rush of people at opening hours crowding the entrance to ensure they were able to get food. Other guests could be heard constantly complaining about the aforementioned food issues.

Where to start… Decameron let alone Jamaica was AMAZING. I have visited many countries and resorts and this one right here took a piece of my heart!! The staff omg the staff was WONDERFUL!! I have never met nicer kinder people. I was welcomed and greeted with smiles and kindness from the second I walked in, every single day till the second I walked out. Beautiful people, beautiful culture. Two staff members in particular, shout out to our mixologist Davion who made every single night memorable and Steve our driver who safely drove us to our excursions. I truly don’t know why this place would have negative reviews. The food was so good. I am so glad this resort didn’t try and attempt to make American food. The ethnic food was amazing I was so happy!! Thank you Decameron for making me feel like home!!

Amazing property with the perfect ambiance and great value for money. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the reception staff even helped us make a special dinner reservation at one of the on-site restaurants to celebrate our anniversary. The food was quite good as well. Highly recommended if you're looking for a place to relax, enjoy quality time, and be pampered

The beach is beautiful. The staff are great, friendly and warm. The property is beautiful and lots of imprisonments being made. Weekends get a little crowded and crazy. They need to get the buffet under control on the weekends.

Beautiful beach front property, excellent customer service, I must say. Darren the front desk supervisor, Amoy front desk personnel, including the front desk Manager were super pleasant, friendly and went above and beyond to help us with our room. Joseph was such a lovely soul, helped us with our things. The entertainment staff were awesome and friendly, I could go on! We fully enjoyed our stay here! Everyone made the experience a great one. Thank you all so much!

Front office staff polite but there was mixup with reservation which was property’s fault resulting in stress. I was almost evicted after my first night! Fruits and most breakfast items finished by 8am. Had to wait an hour before they were replenished!! It was not a restful or relaxing weekend…….. Will not go back to this property

Property was cute, quaint and clean. Enjoyed the entertainment and the onsite night club making everything we needed to do right on the property. The breakfast was amazing with unlimited options. Lunch pretty good and dinner was average. The nice thing was the variety of vegetables I had available to me since I didn’t enjoy most of the dinner entrees. Would definitely recommend and return. I know my kids would love it. Almost forgot the amazing bar options. My favorite was the rum punch.

Property was run down. The water was beautiful. The food was not good. Entire resort seemed to be for locals. Staff were great and super friendly. The island is a huge exporter of bananas but we never spotted one for the 8days at the resort. Told that to some locals outside the resort and they were shocked. I don’t recommend but for the price we made the best of it.

The only review you need! This resort is a 3 star. If you expect more, you won't get it. It is a wonderful 3 star..clean rooms, safe and clean property, about an hour of entertainment every night. Trivia for kids and adults during the day. Kayak rentals, water good for snorkeling and excursions available. Unlimited drinks, lots to choose from or have specially made. It's big but not busy, barely any lines for anything. There are cats that hang around but they don't bother you and they are clean. Beaches are raked and cleaned every morning. The food is good. Rice, chicken, beef, stews, fries, beans, fish, cheese, fresh salads, fruit and deserts for lunch and dinner. Breakfast has omelets and eggs made to order, cereal, fruit, toast, hashbrowns, oatmeal, pancakes, french toast, fruit, cheese. Bread station always available. Some of the cabanas are adjoining with a walk through. The cabanas are spacious and have a/c. There are two pools, one by the main bar and a quiet pool at the back. The A La Carte is by reservation and is a Mediterranean night and an Asian night. It is a 3 star dinner!, but quite nice! Staff are friendly and very respectful. Security is 24/7. A few nice gazebos for weddings. Good music. If you are going there to just relax for the week it's perfect for that and if your not looking for luxury... You basically get what you pay for with this resort...That's why the prices are good.

This resort is really cute. The beach is beautiful and many places for you to relax. I liked the two pools as well. The place is a little outdated, but honestly we had a great time, no complaints would go back with friends.
