Luisa‘s house was just what we had hoped for! We learned that it has been in her family for five generations, and is conveniently located in the middle of Monterosso. We loved waking up to the sounds of the city coming alive, and enjoying breakfast on the balcony. Both beds were very comfortable, and each bedroom had a balcony. Yes, the stairs were a challenge, but we considered them a great warm-up for hiking the Cinque Terre! There are dozens of restaurants within walking distance, and the wonderful beach is only a short distance away.

This is a very conveniently located property, and we had an amazing time in Monterosso! Luisa is a great host - she communicated clearly and promptly, and everything was very easy. The property was clean and very well take care of. To note, it is quite close to the trains (we're light sleepers, so it was helpful that we brought ear plugs).

This was a wonderful place. The view was fabulous. The furnishings were beautiful. Everything was very clean. Bathroom and kitchen were very nice. The washing machine worked well. I appreciated the coffee and the good coffee maker. Thank you to Luisa, our host, who was so accessible and accommodating. I felt quite at home! The location was a five-minute walk from the train station. We enjoyed being so close to all the shopping and dining spots. We would stay here again without hesitation.

The host was very kind and helpful and provided some necessities as well as some treats. The view was amazing, but the noise level was crazy bad. Children playing in the playground right below the unit at 6:30 AM the garbage collection with glass bottles breaking around the same time. The train is right there and you can hear it at all hours. You also hear the church bells ringing which really did not bother me but might bother some.The unit for the most part was clean. The shower is so small you could barely turn around and the doors were broken, the small fridge door was broken as well as the toilet seat. The double bed was two twin mattresses put together and not very comfortable,nor were the pillows.We really liked the location and the view but would most likely book a different location if we went back, because of the high noise level.

Beautiful little seaside town. Lots of restaurants within 10 second walk. The view is spectacular, with balconies off of each of the two bedrooms overlooking the water. Steep stairs up to apartment, but worth it for the view. There are trains the go by often, but that would be for all places in this town, same with the church bells. Lots of lemon trees and great 30 mins hike /walk in Valley of the Lemons or if you want a challenge, walk to the next town… or enjoy a quick boat taxi or train. Every thing you need is with a few seconds away of this apartment. I would stay here again!

Cinque Terre is more beautiful in person than in the photos. The views from each village were breathtaking. The location of the apartment was wonderful - close to shops, restaurants, train station and the beach. It was spacious and had 2 balconies overlooking the water. Although the apartment building was in the flat part of Monterosso al Mare, the apartment itself was on the second and third floors.

A bit of a tricky property for me to review as it definitely had its pros & cons:- Pros: great location, excellent communication with host, large 2 story apartment, washing machine, kitchen had everything you need, easy walk to beach and station Cons: very steep marble steps to apartment door, noise from train (which we were aware of prior to booking), the bed has 2 single mattresses joined together that sink in the middle so you roll into each other when trying to sleep. No aircon only a fan.

spectacular location but very quirky

Could not be a better location, right near the beach, downtown old part of Monterosso; very lively, not quiet or secluded. Very steep long stairs, hard to find the unit, floors were not clean, but the unit has a wonderful patio where we were able to watch sunsets and sip wine (and dry our clothes). Has a really cute and functional kitchenette, which we valued. Positive overall!

Absolutely gorgeous location. Look out onto the beach and ocean. Variety of restaurants & swimming beach right outside your door. Apartment was only lacking in working cooking facilities such as working micro and broken refridgerator door. Could feel springs in bed.

Excellent location! About a 10 minute walk from the train station. You are steps away from the best restaurants, gelato and wine in Monterosso. We did go to the beach below the train station vs right in front of the apartment. Apartment does need a few updates, but the location, food/drink and activities makes the stay here all worth it.

Great location and communication

We stayed 2 nights. The apartment was in a great area and clean. The steps to enter are extremely steep and small treads but fine if you were careful and don't have large or heavy luggage. Great balcony to sit on upstairs at night the playground noise was horrible and the bar noise downstairs went on late Friday & Saturday. The train noise was fine compared to the other. Bring earplugs!

You can't beat this location in the Cinque Terre! Right in the heart of Monterosso with a view of the water. Luisa communicates very well. We needed a couple of small items and she brought by the items and more for us. Overall, a great stay in Monterosso!

Great place, wonderful view and amazing host

Spent a three day weekend here and it was the perfect base for exploring Cinque Terre. Right in town so easy walk to restaurants and then I could bring a bottle of wine home with me and sit on the terrace with a view of the ocean and plaza. Luisa was super helpful with directions and recommendations and even allowed me to check out late at n my last day. The apartment is spacious and the bed is comfortable. This place was truly a great find.

Cute little apartment

Great little apartment. Convenient to train and restaurants. There are a good amount of stairs to get to the apartment and inside the apartment is divided into 2 floors. Living and kitchen on top floor, bedroom and bathroom on bottom floor. Luisa was great to work with and showed up with supplies and treats upon arrival. The only thing I would warn future renters about is there is a church close by that tolls its bells several times a day and the train tracks are right outside so you constantly here trains passing by. Overall we had a wonderful stay.
