Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We found the many beds comfortable and clean with a fantastic master bath and some modern upgrades in kitchen. However, this is not a "Modern Log Chalet" as advertised, it is old and worn with decking starting to fail and becoming moldy (slippery in the rain as we found out), paint peeling off window frames and no dishwaher (which is OK with us but hardly "modern"). The large deck has a fantastic view with only 2 chairs - both of which are broken. So some good but some bad in this property. We were provided an incorrect digital code to get in and unfortunately the owner has Vacasa managing the property so you must call Vacasa for help which invloves going through phone trees and finally talking to someone who knows nothing about the property and claimed to be unable to reach the owner. After I said I do not agree to wait an indeterminate time for them to follow up if they can reach the owner, they reluctantly provided access to a realtor lock with physical key, so we got in maybe 10 minutes after arriving.I got a call next day from owner apologizing that Vacasa is at fault - a known problem to them, but that frustrates me: Owner acknowledges a problem but did not fix it or replace Vacasa - just let problems fall on me.

Okay for a place to rest your head when visiting Jay

Ample beds/bedrooms. Master bathroom is very nice. We stayed on a very cold weekend (negative overnight temps). The draftiness of the house was quite obvious. The heat is forced hot air and overheats the bedrooms to keep the living space at a comfortable temp. This was quite obvious at night where the rooms were either too cold or far too hot. Great location for skiing at Jay. Ample parking and plowing. My daughter found a sweatshirt from a previous user in her bed (under the blanket/sheets) which makes me question if the sheets were actually changed or if the beds were just made without stripping and washing bedding. Towels and bedding provided.

Great location when skiing Jay!

Was a great location and accommodations for skiing at Jay Peak. The kids had the loft to escape to, it’s close to Jay and the trail head for Big Jay.

Awful experience

The property did not have running water for either of the 2 nights we stayed. Calling the 800-number customer service line resulted in them "putting in a ticket" that was not answered until 9:45am the next day. Spent multiple hours having to be on the phone with customer service and despite the home not being inhabitable, they offered a laughably small amount of money (10% of rental cost) towards a relocation. Ultimately they refused to refund any more than 35% of the cost of the stay. Terrible experience. There were no trash bags on site for us to take out our trash, the entrance area was not shoveled and was extremely icy, resulting in multiple falls in our party. There was no sand or salt to put down. Overall, would never stay with this rental company again. No redeeming qualities.

Great little cabin for Jay Peak

This was a new listing when we booked, based on location and photos in the absence of reviews. We were pleased with the house and found it to be generally as described. The seating and dining space is a bit tight: while it sleeps 8 I can't imagine that many people (and ski gear) fitting comfortably. The property was generally very clean and the beds were comfortable! There is another unit for rent downstairs. Parking was very tight for 4 cars with snow and ice. The restaurant across the street is delicious!

Great Stay!

The view was beautiful especially when the clouds weren't covering the mountains. Very nice atmosphere for a family gathering. Very close to Jay Peak! I would recommend it .
