Everything was adequate. Bed wasn't wonderful, wasn't horrible. No pillowtop. When I sat on the foot of the bed (where the wardrobe was), the other end of the bed lifted off the ground. Nothing wrong with the furniture otherwise. Toilet needed some encouragement to flush, but always got the job done. Soaps, shampoo, etc provided. Nothing fancy, but workable. Instructions in the desk were out of date. (breakfast time has changed, ATM it refers to isn't there anymore, etc.) Breakfast was adequate. Toast with peanut butter, butter, jam, nutella. Several kinds of cereal. Apples and bananas. Orange juice, coffee., Nothing fancy, but does the job. Room was clean. Didn't see any bugs. Power outlets on the brick wall weren't properly attached, but did work. All-in-all, place felt like something they were maintaining at as low a cost as they could manage. Everything was quite adequate. Nothing would wow you, except the low price. I would consider returning, but would likely check my options next time to see what else was available. Bit more money for somethign a little nicer might be worth it.

Very convenient for exploring Montreal. Close to Old Montreal and the waterfront and the shopping area. Many restaurants nearby. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our stay at Hotel Quartier des Spectacles was amazing and smooth from start to finish. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Montreal, close to everything. The room was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A special shoutout to Salma at the reception! She was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and kind. Her warm attitude truly made a difference and added a personal touch to our experience. Highly recommend this hotel! Will definitely be back!

Room was dark and feels dirty. The hotel needs 360 degrees cleanup and maintenance. Dust everywhere in the cabinets (room and toilet)... we had to use sanitary wipes to clean the floors, tables and cabinet with too much hair and dust and who knows what!!! TV was not working. There was a broken outlet which is a safety issue. Front desk offered to switch room but who knows how much problem and cleaning I have to do in that room! I was told that manager can fix the TV and outlet at 7am the following day. But we are out going around. I do not want anyone in our room while we are out. I am not on vacation to wait for that person to fix problems in the hotel. The management has to pay me for cleaning our room and doing inspection for them. Completely disgusting and disappointing!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!

Cheap but don't expect hygienic or friendly

The bed sheets were stained with blood. The toilet in our room didn't work. The hotel was surface level clean but was mostly dirty, dusty with hair (even in the "clean" bed). Asked to speak to someoje in charge about our broken toilet as we paid for a private bathroom and just kept getting passed around. Eventually a cleaner came to fix it but it immediately broke again. Given I had to stay in the hotel for 2 hours and wait for him the first time, I didn't bother asking again Good location.

Overall, an ok experience, if I’m being generous. The hotel itself was shabby, the room more like a hostel room than a hotel. One had to go through an open rooftop to get to the annex D. I’d look elsewhere. In my case, the location was important and this hotel offered a decent price for the location in the city. Close to old port, so that was a plus. I am not sure if I would stay here again. In the interest of full disclosure, the room, bathroom, towels, sheets and amenities were clean. Hotel staff helped me out by printing a document in the last minute - 5* for that.

Good for an affordable stay in Montreal. Building is kind of sketchy but the rooms were clean enough. Pillows were flat as a board, so bring your own if you can. Also a bit noisy outside. The complimentary breakfast consisted of toast and cereal, better than nothing! Didn’t hear any other guests in the rooms Nextdoor. Was in good walking distance to the concert we were going to see. Staff were friendly enough. Overall, if you’re looking for a budget hotel, this will suffice!

Nice place

It's an old hotel with an interesting layout. It offers a continental breakfast, but we found it disappointing, with no eggs or hot food other than toast. The room was nice and quiet, with double paned windows, but I would have preferred the shower to have a hose. I liked all the colored lights on the street outside, and that the location was in a cultural district.

The hotel is in a very convenient and safe location, and the staff were helpful. However, our “standard room” was tiny, and the TV didn’t work. Still, we enjoyed our visit to Montréal while staying here.
