The front desk at Hotel Saint-Laurent was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were very quick to respond to any questions I had before the stay, including inquiries on parking, location, packages, etc. They were also kind enough to hold a package at the desk prior to our check-in date for us. Overall great experience.

Issues with parking

Upon checkin I was told there was no parking available. I had to park 6 blocks away. The receptionist wasn’t rude or disrespectful, she was actually very friendly and helpful, but just simply told me that there was no parking. The following morning a new front desk receptionist told me I could park at the hotel and had me fill out the paperwork to park there. The rest of the hotel was fine, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the amenities were nice. The hotel in general just needs updating. Some EV chargers in the garage would be good too.

The hotel facilities were very nice and clean. I really enjoyed my stay. I’m only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because parking is not included and you have to pay separately.

My daughter and her boyfriend just returned from a 3 night stay and when they checked in they received an “upgrade,” the room they were given smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the decor was outdated and in poor condition. Additionally, there was no hand soap provided in the bathroom— they were told to use the body wash from the shower instead, which is not acceptable for a hotel of your caliber, especially considering the premium rates being charged.

Our suite at the Saint-Laurent Hotel had two Queen beds, a good-sized bathroom, and a kitchen. The two awning windows could be opened, but were without screens. The beds were very comfortable with duvets and nice bedding. There was a full kitchen with a counter and counter chairs that would be excellent for a longer stay. The room also had a desk, chair, and plenty of plugs for all of our tech devices. The room was very comfortable but somewhat dated. For 35$, we were able to easily park our vehicle in the hotel parking below the hotel and allowed for in and out access during our stay. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the Vieux-Port de Montreal and to rue St-Catherine where one can shop. We enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel, but were a little disappointed to discover that we couldn't adjust the temperature of the room, which was set at 24 C. This made it difficult for two menopausal women to cool the room to 21 C for sleeping. Overall, it was a great place to stay in Montreal.

Pro: Very convenient to restaurants, Ild Montreal and other tourist destinations. Paid parking on site but is in and out privileges. The room was spacious and comfortable enough. Full kitchen and a/c. Friendly and helpful staff. Con: The room smells stuffy sometimes, the carpets are old looking and the threads are coming it which makes it look very dirty. Overall, I enjoyed the stay.
