The pool was extremely small and not very clean. The hotel is adjacent to a condo/apartment building, and the hallway leading to the pool was filthy, with a terrible urine smell. The staff was rude—while we parked in a 15-minute parking spot, not even five minutes had passed before they demanded we move our car immediately to the underground parking, without allowing us time to check in. We had a free room upgrade from Expedia, and I asked for a king-size bed instead of a queen. We were told no rooms were available and that the hotel was sold out. However, when we entered our assigned room, the toilet was broken. I called the front desk, and since I spoke with a different staff member, we were suddenly given a king-size room—the exact one I had requested just 10 minutes earlier. Clearly, the first staff member had been dishonest and simply refused to provide the upgrade. Additionally, their Expedia listing shows photos of a kitchen, but there is no kitchen in the rooms.

Close to a lot of places on our itinerary. Walkable to old port and old montreal. Really close to st. catherine and convenient because that street pretty much have everything. The only thing is that the laundry and dryer does not work well. One time the dryer ate our coins and did not start. We talked to the reception and they said, they are not in charge of the building. And informed us that we should get in touch with someone else who is directly in charge of the building. On the second night of our stay, the room ran out of body wash. When we called, they said they ran out of body wash. We asked for the next 2 days again for bodywash, they said they will get back to us as soon as they can. But they never called, or gave us any bodywash until the end of our stay. For cleanliness, it's not very clean. There's a weird smell in the hallways. Staff are nice and friendly. Specially Luis from the reception.

When I checked in, they did not notify me that room was leacking on the floor. I booked 2 night for the loft, and they switched the room which was not the same room and promised me to move the loft on next day. But they did not promise..and just asked me to move the room which was leaking issue.

The room was not clean when we arrived. There were a lot of hairs on the floor, which showed that nobody had vacuumed properly. The body and hair shampoo bottles were empty, and when I asked reception to bring both, they only gave us hair shampoo. I also requested housekeeping to clean the room. When we came back, they had only straightened the bed, but they did not change the sheets. I know this because there was a coffee stain on my sheet, and after “cleaning,” the same stained sheet was still there. Overall, the room was poorly maintained, and my request for proper cleaning and supplies was not handled.

I had a very pleasant stay at Le Nouvel hotel. The location is excellent with easy access from the highway, and on-site parking is convenient and safe. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, making the experience feel very welcoming. Housekeeping is well-managed, keeping everything clean and comfortable. It’s also just a short walk to the metro, which makes getting around the city hassle-free. There are plenty of food options and grocery stores nearby, adding to the overall convenience. Highly recommend this hotel for both comfort and accessibility.

A Decent Stay

Compared to other expensive hotels in Montreal, the price was reasonable. Although it took more than 20 minutes on foot to get to the very downtown area, parking was available and it wasn’t a problem for me. What I especially appreciated was that they allowed me to keep my car parked until around 8 p.m. even after check-out.

The loft apartment has a washer dryer and kitchenette ( equipped with dishes/ pots ) Very nice room , comfortable beds , nice jacuzzi Lovely heated outdoor pool However parking is $35/ plus tax a day And there is no complimentary coffee within the foyer ( although one in your room )
