Dirty Room Sticky Carpets Damaged bathroom door Long dark hairs on shower tiles Wallpaper coming off walls ceilings stained Beds couldn’t sit on the end without it tipping up. Pillows disgusting All stained and lumpy Entry light not working Outdoor orange extension cords in room Lady who came to knock on door to service our room… not pleasant. Didn’t stay for breakfast. Tables dirty and dirty paper plates and cups all over. I have photos if you would like me to forward Would never recommend this hotel The only good thing was the lovely young girl at reception who checked us in.

The property did not respond to my cancellation requests, and upon arrival the room was in very poor condition with numerous stains, holes, and broken features. In addition, there was major construction on the main road that had not been disclosed, making access inconvenient and noisy. Parking was also poorly maintained, and despite being charged $50 per night, I was unable to access my car during my 3-day stay. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and not reflective of the cost paid.

The hotel is near to the downtown and old port of Montreal. Although the room was okay, it had several issues. First, there are a few stairs without a ramp to enter into the hotel which means it is not stroller friendly. Second and most disgusting thing was they do not have drinking water at all in the hotel, even if you wanna purchase them. We had to buy water from outside. I advise everyone to keep it in stock because you may not find a store nearby during the nights. Third, their wending machine is out of order too. Good part is that they keep the luggage in their storage room if you checkout in the morning and you can collect them back later whenever you wish take them.

You get what you pay for.

Room not so clean. Maid only comes only once in three days. Everything in room is dated. Breakfast is simply carbs and coffee. Parking too expensive at $45/day. No bar fridge, no microwave. Close to subway. I’d give him that.

Older. Breakfast sucks. Location is great.

The location is great. 4 mins from st Denis where all the food is. 1.25 blocks from St. Catherine’s. Price is good but the hotel is very old. Everything was clean but it’s a bit run down. Would probably stay again but just don’t come expecting a modern hotel. Staff were nice. Breakfast is trash. Only thing good was the croissants, the rest of the breads (yes zero protein just carbs) were meh.

The check in was not very personal, just ask for ID and then nothing. The hotel itself was fine but things were definitely a bit broken in the room, kind of showed lack of care or lack of money. But room felt clean and it was enough for us to sleep there and it felt enough for the money. The deal was good. The vending machines were broken, and the bathroom in the room definitely had stuff that could use fixing.

Booked 2 queen beds from Expedia and requested for a late checkin When i arrived in the nigjt they said only 1 queen bed room is available and we were a group of 3 Kept me waiting for half hour before they could confirm that room too And they were not apologetic about rooms being overbooked and did not offer any refund for the single queen bed room or any parking coupons

Although maintenance and cleaning staff were friendly, check-in was decidedly aloof. The hotel in general is rundown and despite booking two queen beds with fridge and microwave, we received two double beds with no other amenities. The room and hotel in general are rather shabby (ex. missing most of the knobs on the dresser, non-functioning bathtub and TV). Parking is expensive and quite a delicate operation given the size of the lot. Times for breakfast and check-out seemed arbitrary and we lost use of our bathroom for 16 hours overnight/morning because they did not have the key to the door. The location relative to the Latin Quarter and metro are convenient, but I think there are better options in the city.

Disappointing Experience - Cigarette Odor in Non-Smoking Room Pros: Central location, clean lobby Cons: Poor room quality, unprofessional customer service I stayed at this hotel for one night in August 2025. Upon entering our “non-smoking” room, we immediately noticed a persistent cigarette odor that lasted throughout our entire stay. Three people confirmed the smell. Issues encountered: • Strong cigarette smell in supposedly non-smoking room • Reception staff dismissive and uncooperative when problem reported • Housekeeping “verification” claimed no odor, yet smell persisted until 10pm • Refused room change despite legitimate health concerns • Unprofessional tone in written communications The irony: Hotel charges $250 CAD deposit to prevent smoking violations, yet places guests in rooms that already smell of cigarettes. Health impact: As a non-smoker sensitive to tobacco, this affected my comfort and well-being throughout the stay. Customer service: Staff showed little willingness to resolve the issue or provide appropriate compensation. Would I return? No. Would I recommend? Only if you don’t mind potential cigarette odors and poor problem resolution. Tip for future guests: Check room immediately upon arrival and don’t hesitate to demand a different room if needed.

I think the potential for the hotel is incredible but it’s lacking in a lot of ways. First the good: the location is incredible and easily accessible to just about anywhere in Montreal. I was there for Pride and the Village is just two blocks away. Truly can’t be beat. Other than the location there’s very little to praise. The rooms are dated, the beds squeaked, the shower pressure was awful. The “breakfast” isn’t much to talk about - felt like whatever day old pastries they could buy. The staff seems almost adverse to being helpful and for taking responsibility for anything. I got an email that check in was at 1pm but when I arrived around 2 was told it wasn’t until 4 (apparently online check in is available at 1 but not sure what good checking in online does unless you can access your room). The TV in the room was reminiscent of Michael’s “flat screen plasma” in The Office (IYKYK). Oh and don’t anticipate a “fitness centre” as the minimal equipment is barely useable. I want to stress again I think the place has a lot of potential… they seemed to be doing a lot of upgrades to it and I would stay here again for the cheap price but I really hope they take these suggestions to heart, though based on experience I feel they’re more likely to place the blame on someone else PS - Leila at the front desk was an amazing help.
