Pros: the location
Cons: the intérieur and the breakfast was almost not eatable.
i love old fashion hotels but this hotel is a complete mixture of old and new styles not put together in a very chaotic and not appealing way.

Great Position

Hotel was in a perfect position and had amazing views over the lake. Hotel very clean and rooms decorated to high standards but retaining its Swiss charm. Made a mistake of booking city room which faced railway track, kept up all night by constant train noise - had to have window slightly open for ventilation. We tried to upgrade but was told hotel full. We have been to Montreux many times and will be booking this hotel for our next trip but will make sure we have a lakeside room. Also, will make sure breakfast is included in price - we thought we had breakfast included but was charged extra.

Enchanting promanade setting

The lakeside of the hotel was enchanting with superb views of lake and surrounding hills. Great elevated terrace which we used for evening drinks. Fine dining was avaiable but very expensive. Our room was fine and what we expected, however although knew the railway line ran behind the hotel, we did not realise that it ran within approxiately 20 yards of our room (literally a minor road width away). It was the main lain with cargo and passenger trains day and night! Air conditioninging would have been very welcome in the room. Breakfasy room and breakfast itself was very enjoyable.

Das Hotel ist etwas älter jedoch sehr gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind schön räumig (See Sicht). Für uns hat es wunderbar gepasst. Der Balkon im Zimmer ist top! Man sieht den ganzen See. Das Bett habe ich als sehr bequem empfunden, diese Ansicht ist jedoch sehr individuell. Der Hotel Garten ist ein Traum, man verbringt sehr gerne Zeit dort. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war für uns und diesen Preis ausreichend und lecker. Ich würde dieses Hotel sofort wieder buchen.
