Tucked into the shoreline of Long Pond on Mount Desert Island with easy access to Bar Harbor, this rustic beauty enjoys a very quiet and peaceful location yet you are within a short 30-minute drive of almost all parts of the island. A must-visit attraction is the spectacular Acadia National Park, which boasts scenic drives, hiking and biking, miles of rocky shoreline, and breathtaking views. Outdoor and water sports enthusiasts should take advantage of the easy access to the lake for swimming and small watercraft. A watercraft rental business is one and a half miles away on the northernmost shores of the pond.

This lakefront escapade was built in the 1950s and has been lovely maintained by the owner's family throughout the years. It sits on a peaceful lot surrounded by cedar, pine, maple, spruce, and fir trees on all sides. The deck offers a wonderful spot to unwind while taking in the impressive lake views - whether it's drinking your morning coffee, enjoying an evening drink, or reading a favorite book. The cabin boasts an eclectic library with something for everyone, including a selection of children's books.

Inside, discover a welcoming interior that truly showcases that camp feeling. Curl up with a good book by the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace or surprise your guests with a favorite recipe prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, complete with all the essentials. The screened porch serves as both a 'mud room' and a nice spot for outdoor dining on buggy days.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
