This was an all around amazing hotel experience! The hotel is immaculately clean and modernized-yet has all of the historic components. Everything was in working order and the entire hotel as well as my guest room was extremely clean. wi-Fi works very well. Showers were amazing with great water pressure. Very comfortable bedding, linens, and towels. And even though it is not needed in the winter, it is a rare thing to have this in Europe,- air conditioning that works year-round! The location is perfect. It is across the street from the main central station, it is where the airport shuttle bus stops at, all of the tour companies are within a one block radius, there is a tram stop outside the front of the hotel, every tram and underground/subway depart from Central Station so they are also all within one block. There are always taxis waiting outside, there are 24 hour eateries in Central Station, as well as many other dining options within walking distance, including a full-service grocery store located across the street in the Central station. In reference to the staff - The staff go above and beyond and are always there with a smile ready to answer questions. Mrs. Katherine at the front desk and Domenico, concierge, truly go above and beyond to assist their guests. The level of service and warmth they provide is definitely five star all the way! These two individuals are very proud to work at this hotel and enjoy what they do which clearly shows to their guests.

We stayed years ago prior to renovation. Beautiful hotel, wonderful attention to detail preserving the old while totally updating. Staff was so accommodating that if asked a question they would provide not only directions but hours, etc. Best breakfast ever, eggs, sausages, various bread & rolls, sweets, cheeses, even English, and vegan offerings. Table service upscale with waiters for every whim. Room maintained spotless with complimentary bottles of water replaced everyday. Lovely bar area with roaring fire going and soft music in the background, available for both food & drinks.
