In business since 1890, this hotel shows some Old World charm in its public areas. The bar off the lobby is elegant and comfortable. I like that the reception desk has kept the original large room keys hanging up as decoration. The mini fridge in the room is very handy and very cold. The stuff in it is overpriced, but I took all of it out and filled it with my own drinks and snacks. There are multiple grocery options in the small shopping centre about 100 metres from the hotel. Good glassware in the room. Powerful air conditioning cooled the room quickly on a warm day. You can also open the windows for fresh air. In the bathroom you can most easily see the age of the property. Tall, narrow bathtub with one of those swinging plexiglass half doors. Very easy to flood the floor when showering. Also, the hair dryer is one of those absurd units that is attached to the wall, and requires a person to hold down a button to make it run on its one setting. The hotel is right across from the main train station, so there are some marginalized people hanging around the area. As with any big city, you want to be aware of your surroundings when out and about. I was comfortable in this hotel, and would consider staying there again.

Recommend this hotel

The hotel is clean and in a good location! The staff are not overly friendly but they were fine and got both me and my boss checked in quickly for our business trip! They also were accommodating about holding our luggage on the last day. The only issue for me was that the room has some cleaning issues, as there was some hair in the showers when I arrived, and then I noticed the second night that the sheets were not changed in the bed, the bed was only made to look new (I new this because I noticed a stain on the sheets that morning and when I returned to the room it was there still, just folded in a new way) Breakfast was good and it is overall a recommended place to stay! Very convenient

The hotel was very convenient walking to the Christmas markets, to the train stations and also places eat around the city. Great breakfasts to fuel us in the morning. The beds were comfortable and our bathroom was huge.

It is conveniently located next to the Munich Hbf. It is a great hotel with an amazing breakfast and friendly staff. We are definitely staying here again.

Mostly good and some great

Our room, on the top floor, was quite large, but unfortunately did not have much natural light. This was probably because we were on the top floor and it only had a small window. The furnishings were simple, but comfortable and seemingly in good repair, but there was just a slight musty smell and we had to run the AC to get rid of it even though it was cold outside. The breakfast was excellent with a typical German breakfast. I appreciated that they had Weisswurst every day which is a typical Bavarian breakfast food. The hotel is very well located, near the train station. This area of Munich has always had a few sketchy looking people around, but now it seems to have groups of men who just hang around outside all the time. So while its a great location for getting around Munich and an easy walk to the historic downtown, unfortunately this area seems to have deteriorated a bit and while I never felt unsafe, I did sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable. Its too bad because besides the Eden Wolf, there are several other nice hotels nearby. I have stayed at the Eden Wolf before and I would stay there again.

If you are looking for and appreciate a bit of history, then Eden Hotel Wolff provides a distinguished view into the past. There was a lot of construction going on in the area but the historic background coupled with very convenient access to the trains and metro made it a plus all around.
