This property is beautiful, elegant, and surpassed expectation. Our family of four had two adjoining rooms that were spacious and very clean and gave us a lovely respite during our travels. Wish we could have stayed longer!

A fantastic warm and friendly Hotel

We found this gem online for a 1 night stay during a road trip. The photos really do the place justice, both our rooms were fantastically appointed and really relaxing. The beds and pillows were very nice and the bathroom was extremely clean and recently updated as the room also seemed to be. The staff were very welcoming and were very nice about my extremely limited German (the receptionist and some other staff spoke great English but I was trying to practice!). The food was lovely and the atmosphere in the restaurant, bar and reception was warm and friendly. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Weissbier which comes in very cool stoneware pint mugs. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Hotel Prinzregent München to everyone and have done so already.

The staff were very courteous, the restaurant patio was lovely and relaxing, the breakfast buffet was excellent with the best choice of tea I’ve ever seen in a hotel, and the shower was one of the better ones I’ve ever had. And although initially there were no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room, once I asked at the front desk, they gave me a kettle and a whole tray of goodies. It was also very easy to get into Old Town Munich via the train.

Nice and quaint property a short distance outside central Munich. Short walk to train station makes it easy to get downtown in 15 min. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant and outside patio and beer garden area.

Could have been awesome but .....

When we booked this hotel there was a spa advertised with an amazing sauna. The hotel was priced higher than alternatives but we booked here based on the sauna. We were not informed in advance but upon asking found out they have water damage and the spa/sauna is now closed. Very sad as I feel like we wasted money and also wasted our time - we would have booked elsewhere. Also, although the reception staff enthusiastically showed us a map of how to take public transport he was dismissive of our inquiry for their electric vehicle charger - we ended up driving to the local mall to charge our rental car. Overall a wasted day and we didn't even have time to visit Munich city due to the car charging issue.
