Not close enough to airport

This is not really close enough to the airport to qualify as an airport hotel. It cost a EUR 40 taxi ride to get there! Your hotel is excellent and the staff are wonderful. I enjoyed my stay there on business. But the cost of getting there from the airport totally ruined the experience.

Honestly after staying there, the only positive was the room size. However, the smells in the hallways, over priced and overly salted foods along with limited food options really left much to the imagination. Further, the staff booked us a taxi even though we requested a shuttle and did not advise there was a difference in pricing.

Convenient to the airport

We wanted a hotel close to the Munich airport for an early morning departure the next day. This hotel was a very good choice for us.

I want to express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at the Munich Airport Marriott Hotel, it falls shockingly short of the standards expected from the Marriott brand. First and foremost, the hotel’s name, “Airport Marriott,” is blatantly misleading. The implication of proximity to Munich Airport is a gross misrepresentation when, in reality, it would take 2 hours and 20 minutes to walk to the terminals. For a hotel branding itself as an airport convenience, this is unacceptable and borders on deceptive marketing. Travelers rely on accurate naming to make informed decisions, and this severely undermines trust. Upon arrival, I found my room in a bad condition. The bed was not even made, sheets were crumpled and blankets totally strewn. This is a fundamental failure in basic housekeeping standards. For a hotel of Marriott’s reputed caliber, this is inexcusable and it set a deeply negative tone for the entire stay. The shuttle service, which should be a cornerstone of an “airport” hotel, was equally disappointing. There was not a reliable schedule, particularly for early flights, making it useless for guests with morning departures. I was forced to arrange alternative transportation at significant inconvenience and cost. On the other hand, the breakfast service was another letdown. With service starting at a time that made it impractical for guests with early commitments or flights. This is another sample of the hotel’s disconnect from its advertised purpose.

Even though the service was excellent and the hotel clean, lovely and easy to walk to the shopping and restaurant area - the beds are really hard and uncomfortable. It is unfortunate because as a Marriott we were looking forward to a good nights sleep. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Hotel was clean and had all we needed.
