This was the resort we needed to kick-start our honeymoon the right way. They have it all, golf-buggy door service, multiple pools, day beds and sun beds, cocktails by the pool, multiple restaurants and bars, buffet breakfast. Beautiful hotel, staff are so friendly and helpful. Facilities great, hotel feel is laid back and luxurious but not fussy. Very clean and beautifully kept grounds. Location is great 30 minute walk to beautiful little town Panormo which has plenty restaurants, bars and a few shops. 30 minute drive into the city of Rethymno. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxed base to explore Crete, we stayed for 1 week and felt we could have easily stayed another few days.

Fantastic staff! They had such a good sports program, Irini did a really good job. Service in all Restaurants was really really good. Super friendly and always helpful. The entire property and staff exuded and promoted a sense of relaxation which was really something we were looking for. The beach and pool areas were very accomodating in regards to food/drink ordering. Proper maintenance was obvious on the grounds as we ways saw staff out keeping things well manicured and taken care of. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite with a private pool for our last two nights which was quite beautiful. We would definitely recommend the Royal Blue to anyone considering a vacation in Crete.
