Ridiculous hotel

Two weeks ago we called to cancel. They told us if we canceled we would get charged the full amount for that night so we told them never mind we will still stay when we arrived at the hotel. They said they sold our room already and I said we already prepaid and they said it was canceled. I said no we did not cancel. I asked to cancel, but they told me they would charge me the full amount so I said never mind. Definitely will be disputing the charge. This is ridiculous.
