The property itself is a bit dated but they've done a lot of work on the inside to make it very nice and very comfortable. Food....good! Service....Great! Drinks....great! Location....Great! Will stay again.

The property needs some upgrades, the food was good, the staff not too friendly, perhaps is a cultural thing, we have experienced friendlier staff in Can Cun. The beach was BEAUTIFUL!! We really enjoyed the water and the drinks! For the price this is a good plea e to stay!

Amazing experience !!!

I’m not sure where the people stayed that submitted the bad reviews. It must be like the lady that sent her steak back four times at dinner, unrealistic expectations for sure. Our stay was amazing. The hotel was nice, there was always someone cleaning and making the place look great. We were there for a week and we were picky about a lot of things, we had every request honored and it was quick and responsive. We were able to make reservations at three of the speciality restaurants, be patient and it was easy. That’s not to short change the buffet. We found the food to be excellent. Much better than we expected and better than any cruise ship we have been on. The star of the show was the staff. We did not have one bad encounter, just the opposite. Everyone was kind and helpful, even seemed genuinely determined for us to have a good vacation. Smiles, good conversation, asking to help, really determined to serve. I appreciate how hard it is to do that day in and day out for so many guest so thank you. I would ignore the bad reviews unless you are one of those people that will never be happy, take your bad vibes elsewhere. My observation was people were having a great time and it was contagious. Again thank you for a great experience.

I recently stayed at the Riu Bahamas and honestly, it’s been a huge disappointment. The food is well below expectations, and despite booking a triple room, we were given two twin beds pushed together. We then had to upgrade to a family suite even though the room I booked was supposed to have two full sized beds. To make matters worse, at the pool an obnoxious guest was blasting his own music and singing loudly to gain attention. Instead of addressing the disruption, the staff actually encouraged it, telling him how great it was—while the rest of us were clearly disturbed. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for. We had chosen this hotel because we had a great stay at Riu Jamaica

This is by far the worst Riu Palace I have ever stayed at. The food is terrible with very limited options, the resort is small and overcrowded, and the staff at the restaurants, buffet, and bars are consistently rude regardless of tipping. Service is slow and careless, and it often feels like they don’t want to work. The beds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable, leaving me with neck pain throughout my stay. I’ve visited Riu Palace resorts in five different countries, and this one is easily the worst experience.

A relaxing all-inclusive perfect for extended weekend or weeklong stay. Food and service was terrific and the nightly entertainment was simply exceptional. We went off property twice with help of onsite tour company to get a feel for the island and enjoyed that as well. Only complaint is that the gym is not air conditioned so plan for outdoor workouts.

Overall experince was good. Food in Dining restuarants werent the greatest, limited options in each restiarant and food wasnt good. Not to mention all the host in the restaurant are very rude. You are better off going to the buffet which was everything and is really good. The bahamian cusine was amazing. Room service people are also rude people. The cleaning and waiter staff are the kindest people always greeting you and will take care of everything you ask. Jerk Chicken near the pool is a must!

Property was very nice, Everyone that worked here was so friendly and would answer any questions you may have. The food especially the buffet was one of the best I had ever had. Every thing was so fresh and delicious. Room service was 24 hours. The beds were so comfortable. Location is the only thing I didn’t like, but taxis were running 24/7. Wasn’t walking distance to much. Other than that we can’t wait to go back.

Water at the beach, so clear you could see fish swimming around you.

We have stayed here once before. We love it for short trips, but would love to see better air conditioning, early coffee shop hours, a gift shop. Our trip was great and we do like the RIU, just not a top notch resort
