'Tasman Suite - Te Whare Rangi' Self-Contained Room in Nelson Waterfront

Te Whare Rangi, a historic Victorian home dating back to 1858, offers a unique retreat with rich heritage. Once home to renowned Nelson photographer William Tyree and former Mayor Edward Everett, it provides stunning views of Haulashore Island, the Boulder Bank, Tasman Bay, Abel Tasman National Park, and the Tasman and Arthur mountain ranges.

The Tasman Suite is one of the private room in Te Whare Rangi with a small kitchen, washer, dryer, and dining/work tables. Guests also have access to shared spaces on the first floor, including a well-equipped kitchen, cozy living room, veranda, small deck, and brick patio with outdoor seating.

Modern amenities in the suite feature a Google Home Speaker, Smart TV, super-fast WiFi, Netflix, Spotify, and a digital baby grand piano.

For larger groups, Tasman Suite can be rented alongside Abel Abode to occupy the entire ground floor. Te Whare Rangi offers other rooms like Puna Perch and Middle Earth, giving guests a range of accommodation options to fit their needs.

- No party or venue use. No Smoking. No pets.

- Te Whare Rangi features unique apartments: Abel Abode, Tasman Suite, Middle Earth, and Puna Perch.

Tasman Suite is located on the ground floor, along with Abel Abode. Each apartment has a private, lockable room and access to the shared public areas on the first floor, including the kitchen, living room, and veranda.

- Young children - This property is not suitable for children under the age of 12. Please enquire before booking.

- Noise in the area - The waterfront road is busy & all properties within this area are subject to some road noise. However, the evenings are typically quiet with much less traffic.

- Car parking - Parking is on-street, nearby and free. We provide recommendations for parking in our arrival details. It is possible to use the driveway during arrival/departure to unload/load bags, but the driveway is steep and does not offer great visibility when exiting so a spotter and extra care is recommended when doing this.

- **Payment, Bond/Security Deposit and Cancellation**:

- A 30% deposit secures your stay with the balance due 3 weeks prior to your arrival (full payment will be required if booking within 3 weeks of arrival).

- Three weeks prior to your arrival (or immediately if booking within 3 weeks of arrival), you’ll need to provide a card authority for the bond/security deposit via our secure online check in process.

- Cancel anytime up until 3 weeks prior to arrival for any reason and you’ll pay no more than 30% of the booking total.

- Where compassionate circumstances for cancellation exist, we’ll be happy to look at further flexibility, usually in the form of postponement of your stay, or a credit towards future stay dates.

- A Rental Agreement document is provided as part of the booking process. Please refer to the agreement for full terms and conditions. :-)
