Welcome to Chardonnay Getaway, your relaxing New Braunfels home away from home at Waterwheel Condominiums, located directly on the beautiful Guadalupe River!

Whether you’re planning a family vacation, couples’ weekend, wedding trip, reunion, tubing weekend or just a few relaxing days in New Braunfels, you’ll be close to the river, Schlitterbahn, Gruene, restaurants, shopping and live music.

THE PROPERTY

Waterwheel sits on several acres of beautiful pecan-shaded grounds along the Guadalupe River. Spend the day enjoying the river, put in a tube right from the property, go swimming or fishing, or simply grab a chair and relax beneath the trees.

Guests have access to Waterwheel’s great amenities, including:

• 4 hot tubs
• Direct Guadalupe River access
• Large grassy, pecan-shaded areas for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors

THE CONDO

This approximately 1,000 sq. ft., 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo is conveniently located on the first floor and comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests.

The first-floor location makes coming and going easy, especially when you’re carrying luggage, coolers, river gear or everything that comes along with a family vacation.

Inside, you’ll find a comfortable living area with plenty of room to relax after a day on the river or exploring New Braunfels.

The fully stocked kitchen includes cookware, dishes, utensils and the essentials you need to prepare anything from morning coffee and breakfast to a full family dinner.

With two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and room for up to 6 guests, Chardonnay Getaway is a comfortable choice for families, couples, wedding guests or a getaway with friends.

AMAZING NEW BRAUNFELS LOCATION

One of the best things about staying at Waterwheel is getting a peaceful river setting while still being close to everything New Braunfels has to offer.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark is only about 5 blocks away, so you can spend the day at the waterpark and come back to relax by the pool or Guadalupe River.

Historic Gruene is also just a short drive away. Spend the afternoon shopping, grab dinner and then enjoy some live music at legendary Gruene Hall — the oldest dance hall in Texas!

Downtown New Braunfels, restaurants, shopping, tubing outfitters and live music are all nearby.

TRAVELING WITH A BIGGER GROUP?

Need more room? We own a second 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo located directly above Chardonnay Getaway! When both condos are available, groups of up to 12 guests can stay together in the same building while still enjoying the comfort and privacy of two separate condos.

Our upstairs condo, Americana Getaway, is perfect for extended families, wedding groups, reunions or friends traveling together. You’ll be just one floor apart, with your own kitchens, living areas and bathrooms.

Great location. Very comfortable unit. Grounds are well kept and with river access. We were there Thursday thru Sunday mid July. Our balcony was shared with neighbors. This created a wind tunnel effect between buildings. Because of this although it was 108 degrees we were still able to sit outside most of the day with a great breeze. Close to food,stores, and Schlitterbahn. We used Texas Tubes and were pleased with them for our river float. Would stay here again.

Great condo!!

We truly enjoyed our stay here. It’s our second time to stay on the property and this condo was better than the last one we rented. The booking and the check in process was so easy, we had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of towels, a Keurig with coffee and creamer, popcorn, and a couple of granola bars were greatly appreciated. We always think it’s so nice when the host leaves a little something for us in case we haven’t had time to stop for snacks or coffee. The bedrooms were very comfortable . There is a bathtub in the master bath for the little ones which I appreciated. The other unit only had stand up showers. The TV in the living room worked great, I am learning how to navigate through the Netflix and all of the streaming services but the grandkids nailed it. We were close to the pool and had a beautiful view of the back of the property. Personally, I don’t care for shared balconies, but coming in March we were not out on the balcony very much anyway. And this is not specific to this condo. All of these condos have shared balconies that I could see. Parking was good. It’s not right at the front door of the unit. It’s a little bit away but not too far. It’s unusual that parking spaces are divided by another unit space so I had to take a double look so that we were parking in the right spaces. These are all minor, though it was really a great stay, and I would return without question!

Great Location

This was a great location, on the river and just down the street from Schlitterbahn. Liked the fact that it was dog friendly, my lab loved the river. Condo was clean and tidy when we arrived, they even had full size shampoo/conditioner in the showers. Only complaint is the AC was locked and wouldn't go below 69 and the master bedroom gets hotter than the rest of the condo. Luckily we brought our box fan (shift worker problems) and it was tolerable. But wish we could have lowered the AC at night for the bedroom.

My son’s 7th Birthday

We had a great time. The apt was fully stocked. The amenities were awesome. The water pressure was great for showers. The lighting was cool in all the rooms. The TVs were easy and convenient to use. My only teeny tiny complaint is the ceiling fan made a weird noise on a certain setting in the master bedroom, but it wasn’t an issue AT ALL just something random we noticed. Everything was very clean. The washer and dryer were awesome for wet clothes. The patio was huge and great for storing our tubes as well. The ice maker in the freezer was super helpful. I’ve stayed at the waterwheel condos before and the location is probably the best place to be in New Braunfels. You’re literally by everything. Stores, river, restaurants, and schlitterbahn. The owner was super nice and informative too. A super great stay, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very nice property on the Guadalupe River. Close to a park and a beautiful city cemetery. Owner very nice and responsive to any concerns. Convenient drive from here to historic Gruene.
