Very central and nice hotel

Placed close to Time Square and Central Park. Very good bed, internet and good space in the room. Not much noise from the street. But don’t stay in room 604. I could hear noise from the electricity. I complained. They listened but didn’t have another available room. I could sleep from the sound, but in the bathroom the sound was easily heard.

An older, established quaint hotel in an ideal location in Manhattan. We were able to walk to almost everything we had scheduled. Daily room service, clean and quiet.

Not good at all

The room was very cold and with no amenities almost. They brought a heater which worked afterwards. It was only fine for one night of stay. The room was also very tiny and I couldn't open my baggage completely on the floor.

We stayed for a long weekend. Small room - typical of midtown - but if you're in your room a lot when visiting the Big Apple, aren't you kind of missing the point? Big enough to get the job done, and laid out well. It checked all of the boxes- affordable, clean, fluffy towels, super comfy bed, friendly and helpful front desk staff, great location steps from 5th Ave. Nice hot water - just be advised it may take a few minutes of running it for it to reach the upper floors, but it IS there! A wonderful stay! Special thanks to Mark at the front desk for a great check-in and education on the hotel's history.

Simple, great location

You couldn’t get a better location. It is a very small hotel that seems to be run by the National Woman’s Republican Club. One of the meeting rooms, for instance, has a tribute to Mrs. Coolidge! . Built in 1934 and well maintained, much remains from that time. Which is kinda nice. Didn’t get to the bar but checked out the Library and a few of the even spaces. All very nice with great views (of St. Pat’s) with decorations that seem unchanged but well maintained since the opening. Simple but unusual it was pretty perfect for what we had to do. The price was really good too
