Price was good. Convenient location and quiet. I arrived early AM before room available and asked to store my bag. No bellman on duty and no locked luggage room. Had to store in an open coat room. Front desk thought a bellman would be on duty by noon, so I asked that my bag be taken to my room when it was ready as I wouldn't be back until 5:30pm. When I returned to hotel, I found my bag still in the open room and still no bellman anywhere. Bathroom sink had only a trickle of cold water, and shower/tub faucet had 3 streamlets of water that wouldn't turn off after showering. Took forever to get hot water in the shower.

Great Locale with a Comfortable Room

Excellent location and our hotel room was very comfortable. The bathroom had a nice tub/shower combo. The only things lacking in our room were a small fridge and one side of the bed had no light.

This hotel was GREAT--the location was perfect because we could walk nearly everywhere. Our room was quaint and comfortable--not generic like most places. It's a bummer there's no refrigerator in the room because we had leftovers every night and ended up throwing them away because the ice bucket was too small to store them. There's no breakfast service at the hotel but there are plenty of options nearby. We highly recommend Toasties for inexpensive and delicious breakfast and lunch wraps/bagels, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing

The building was having an open house and fashion show for the Republican Women's Club, the primary tenant. During the events, access to certain hotel facilities was restricted, leaving virtually no amenities available to non-affiliated guests. The room I was in was very rundown: holes in the carpet, frayed edges on the chair cushion, mars in the tops of the dresser and bedside table, chipped paint, rust bleeding through the paint, windows that opened with great difficulty and then wouldn't close completely, broken down mattress... The location was great,

We had a great time and the hotel was close to transit and attractions. I enjoyed the boutique style and charm. Staff was always kind and friendly. The only issues we had were with the construction that we woke up to every morning-right above our room. Then people moving around up until 11:30pm in the solarium above our room on a week day. As well as the heat not working in our room.
