We stayed in a Queen Room and it was quite spacious for the location. We loved that we could walk everywhere but also had access to public transportation when needed. We also appreciated the complimentary continental breakfast which included coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, cheese, orange, apple, and pastries.

City Club was in a fantastic location. It was close to metro stops and within walking distance of Times Square, Bryant Park/the NYC Public Library, Broadway theaters, and many places to eat. The property is a definitely worn but clean. We were two adults and two teens (17 and 16) and had plenty of room with two doubles and a sofa (we brought a twin blow up mattress that fit in the room too). The room was outdated with peeling wallpaper and stains but the bathroom was fully modern with nice toiletries for use. The room and bathroom were clean. Our teens thought it was funny to find the hidden bathroom, closet and minibar behind art or mirrors. The breakfast was continental. It was convenient to store our luggage with the concierge on our check out day until 4pm so we could enjoy more sites. We would definitely stay again.

This hotel has roaches and charged me for chips which is interesting because I bought my own snacks prior to my stay. Upon checkout I brought it to the front desks attention that I killed a roach in my room and when I mentioned it and showed the man at the front desk the picture he didn’t look surprised AT ALL!! He made an excuse about the manager helping someone to their car I never received a call or email, but I certainly got my bill emailed charging me for my own snacks I bought off the street. I kept it classy but I WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE EVER AGAIN.

This is a centrally located and reasonably priced hotel close to Bryant Park, Times Square, Madison Avenue and the Theater District. The rooms are shabby and despite the big name on linens and towels (Frette) everything feels old and worn. There are no real amenities and the staff is fairly indifferent to guests' requests. The WiFi is spotty and the continental breakfast is served on disposables. All that said, it is clean, safe and pretty reasonably priced in NYC (think $250-350 per night unlike the Algonquin or Royalton).

Excellent hotel in NYC

Perfect place for a fun trip to NYC. This hotel had everything we needed and nothing we didn't need. Will come back for sure. The front staff is excellent and the coffee very welcome and appreciated.
