We had a perfectly pleasant stay at this hotel. I think some reviews we read were maybe a little generous given the fact that this place really will be needing a renovation soon. We did pay extra for a "city view", which, in fairness, I suppose, is exactly what we got since what screams "city" more than a construction site! Still. The positives are that it was quiet, we slept well, it was clean, and it was convenient. The front desk people were friendly and efficient. Negatives: needs a reno, hot water not very hot.

The rooms and hotel were clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We loved the location, close to Central Park and midtown, with a subway stop around the corner. Exercise room was amazing! We will definitely be back to stay again.

The location is a definite plus. Room was small but adequate for NYC. Would like more lighting in the room because I found it rather dark. Bathroom was very well lit. Staff were very helpful and nice. Would recommend hotel to others.

Did not enjoy my stay at all. Rooms much smaller than what was perceived online. Customer service was not good. Nothing in the room worked for the first two days. Had to go to reception multiple times to request housekeeping to clean our rooms. Not an enjoyable stay at all. Only thing that was great is the location
