Lovely view. I forgot how special this part of the city is. The best location in my eyes. A true gem for the money. Does not get better than to be right here on Central Park and having one of the best roof tops in the city.

Nice Hotel

Spent a couple nights here to drop of my child to college nearby. The hotel has an old-school charm which might not appeal to everyone but it was a great location, rooms were clean and the entire staff was excellent. Will stay here again. Having a drink on the roof top bar was nice.

The only advise I would have is to have coffee available in the lobby for guest and possibly open the downstairs bar. Other than that everything was perfect.

Good location , polite and friendly staff. Rooms were small , walls were crumbling around A/C. Tiles on shower wall not sealed properly, no fridge , bed and pillows sucked . And you can smell mold as you walk into the room

After check in, we went up to our room on the first floor and had to step on a large roach that almost entered our room through the space between the hallway floor and the door. Not a great start. The room was a lot smaller than what we were used to at this property. Very little room to move around. We found it hard to locate the only small trash bin and box of tissues. The shower sprayed on me as I turned it on. It was hard to operate and the water turned cold very fast while I was showering. I’ve never had this experience when reserving a room here before as this was our 3rd year in a row while visiting the US Open tennis tournament.

This was by far the worst hotel experience we have ever had. The room was filthy, with no soap or toiletries at all. We booked for 5 people, but the extra bed was so bad my kids could not even sleep on it. The most shocking part was the ceiling above the bed — full of moisture, with paint peeling and falling directly on us while we were sleeping. A large piece actually fell into my husband’s eye, causing an infection that has lasted for days and left him unable to drive. This is not just poor service, it is a serious health and safety hazard. On top of that, the toilet was unstable, the facilities were very old, and the entire place felt neglected. The pictures shown on the hotel’s website were completely misleading and did not reflect the reality we faced. I have photos to prove all of this. No one should have to experience such conditions — I would strongly warn other travelers to avoid this hotel until it undergoes major repairs and improvements.
