Property exterior is great, but when it comes to room interior, the bathroom was pretty small and also one of the tap was not working. Being a 4 star hotel, they at least should keep 2 water bottles in the room per day. Even 3 star hotels does that including breakfast. Here breakfast was pretty expensive $45 per person.

What I found most appealing about the Grand Hyatt Central New York is how close it is to so many of New York City’s top attractions.

First the rooms should be renovated, the bathroom tub and the sink are rusty. Based on the condition of the Hotel it is overpriced. Second- poor customer experience, my mom and i were asked to show a room key for security reasons before reentering the hotel which i thought it was great for security reasons but while my mom was looking for her key multiple white female and male just walked by them and all the staff did was smile and said hello to them. I dont ever wright about this but it was too obvious ( they were selective of the people the asked for information).

The destination fee on top of the high price is a rip off. Although the rooms are mostly updated, the bathroom is very aged. The very low toilet seat uncomfortable and shower is dated. The $15 per stay is still $15 if you stay multiple days. When leaving and you need to hold your bags, there is a fee instead of a courtesy for staying at the hotel! I will stay at another hotel next time.

I understand that we were staying in downtown Manhattan. The lobby was beautiful, but the rooms were kind of old and not very clean. (I found hair in the shower.) That said, I would stay here again just based on the convenient location right next to Grand Central Station and the reasonable (for Manhattan) rate.
