The property was decent. It wasn’t super nice. One elevator didn’t work most of the time we were there so there was always a line and a wait to get to and from your room. The breakfast was good but it was very busy and not much room for people. The room was small which I expected as it is New York but overall it was clean and enough room for us. The view was the best part. We could see the Empire State Building and the One World Trade Center both from our window. The street we were on was relatively quiet but an easy walk to Times Square. I would probably not stay there again but it was good enough for what we needed that weekend.

A bad taste of nyc

The hotel smelled and felt dirty even after I disinfected.. there was only one elevator and it was almost 20 minutes to get downstairs. The breakfast was cold and i went around eight when they close at 10 .. housekeeping only came in and made up the bed partially overall I will not stay here again. it was my first trip to the nyc I also was late to two meetings for work because of the elevator situation

The room was very old and had no facilities at all. The windows were extremely dirty, full of stains and dust, so the view I paid for could not be seen. There was no refrigerator, and the furniture such as the table, mirror, and bed were all very old and worn out. On top of that, the elevators were a major issue. Out of two elevators in a 35-floor building, one was out of service, and the other could only hold 6–7 people, making each trip take around 10 minutes. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay, and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Central location for Time Square, walkable and 10 min to subway . Breakfast was delicious. During our stay, only one elevator for 36 floors, great delays to go to eat breakfast or get to the lobby.

Friendly staff , small uncomfortable beds.

The hotel staff were lovely and kind. The location made it easy to get to Times Square and other destinations. One of the elevators was broken which made getting on and off a little difficult due to crowds. One staff member stayed in the elevators to help make it easier to get up and down, coming back to pick guests up when it was full. The hotel room was clean. The downsides, breakfast was hectic and we didn’t take advantage of it. There wasn’t anywhere to sit and eat and lines to get food were long. The beds were horrible. One side of one of the beds was flattened and I was rolling off throughout the night. Very small beds, not appropriate for 2 adults. We are a family of 4 and stayed two nights for pleasure. It was fine for the two nights but I wouldn’t want to stay longer with the beds.

Holiday Inn Express Times Square covers the basics. Short stays are probably best as the room, lobby, and breakfast areas are small. Breakfast options are good but getting down early is recommended or you'll have a long wait for the elevators. It is so crowded that there is little room to sit and eat. Staff was friendly.

Horrible experience. I asked ahead for extra bedding, and was promised it in my room. Nope …and had to ask 4 times and get myself. Simple request! What’s worse is the elevator was not working and because Holiday Inn has a contract with only one company they were too cheap to get the elevator fixed! So I had to walk 36 flights, 4 straight days. Imagine this. Unsafe! We couldn’t make it to breakfast. Don’t stay there. They are not willing to accommodate You I couldn’t even use the “good location” to go back and rest.
