As far as the property goes, it's location is quite convenient. The first concierge that greeted us, Turia, was very personable and helpful. The night concierge, William, was quite the opposite. Our hotel room telephone did not work and he was not helpful at all as we needed to make a phone call and he did not give us access to a working phone nor could we use the phone in the lobby. Also our bathroom fan was not working which made it very hot and steamy after all of us, there were four in the room, would take a shower.

Go somewhere else and save yourself frustration

1. Terrible mattresses in 1103. Both standard mattresses are sagging with popping springs on side closest to the lights. Had to crawl over the the side to get out of the sag and get any sleep. 2. MISERABLE wifi connection. Had essentially NO functioning internet for a week, which makes it really hard to conduct business, check email or use personal devices. Twice they tried resetting the router, but it was still complete garbage! 3. Upon arrival, shower curtain would not stay closed and shower faucet would not re-route water fully up to shower head. This was fixed promptly after reporting. 4.Key card kept failing. Desk staff said it was my fault for putting it in my phone/near other cards as it would "demagnetize" the strip. This was garbage as I've stayed in MANY hotels and always carry the cards the same way. They reset it several times and saw the lock itself was part of the issue, but lock was not changed. When I finally insisted on a new card, it worked for the last couple of days. My roommate's card had quit working by that point too. 5. ELEVATORS ARE UNRELIABLE. With 36 floors, this is BAD. Staff seemed quite unconcerned with the fact that on weekends with larger capacity, they have to "reset" it due to "overloading". THEY SHOULD POST A MAX CAPACITY SIGN TO PREVENT THIS! Being late to functions because the elevator is not working is NOT OK! 6. Small hallway near elevator and gets EXTREMELY crowded for breakfasts and general to/from rooms.

The staff are really nice and the area and accessibility is good. The rooms are tiny and is expected in NY. Also the elevator are super crowded during the breakfast time.

Needs improvement

Front desk attempted to put my husband, me and our two toddlers in separate, unadjoining rooms. Had to wait a half hour in the lobby— with the toddlers— to get the room type we booked. Phone didn’t work, vending machine was laughable, everything seemed run down. And the elevator situation— very bad. Be warned. Usually got a good response from requests, but always took a few tries.
