We got there at 2am and the room we paid for- balcony room- was not available.. they didn’t tell us.. we traveled to the 24th floor to open the door and find out. We went back down to be told we could talk to the manager in the morning. To say the room Is TINY is an understatement. I know It’s nyc- but be ready. It’s a king bed with walls.. expect nothing. There is a $30 night amenity fee. The lobby was DARK and there were times people were sleeping there- it’s a VERY small lobby. Aside from that- it’s mostly quiet- a/c worked great. Rooftop bar, although small, was a nice place to feel the breeze- go up to the top bar.. don’t stop at the first one. We won’t stay there again, but the location was good for where we needed to be.

The room was a bit tiny however also a bit cozy. The pillows on the bed were not great so I did struggle to sleep and my trip/visit for my birthday was almost spoiled by all the additional fees I was not aware of but now am so I am not certain I will be booking a stay at this hotel because of them as the additional fees add to the overall expense

Old Florida charm. A refreshing stay after warm modern sterile hotel visits recently. Waldorf-Astoria has done a nice job keeping the original property in good shape. Excellent restaurants. Comfortable room rooms.

Location was great, easy access to subway, the East River. The service to the rooms was a bit disappointing. One day it was almost 5pm and they had yet to come and service the room. Then we called on Sunday and they said that they only service rooms that are for check out on Sundays.
