Not what I paid for

We had a family getaway in New York, booked last minute and paid for a King room with a view. The check in was super long, and hard to deal with 2 kids waiting in line for over 30 minutes. Got to the room to find it was a 2 beds, when I reserved a king and the view was not what was shown in the pictures. Called to request a change and the manager never called back On the positive note the beds were very comfortable

We arrived at check in time and there were a hundred people in line to check in. We left and came back at 10 pm and there were 20 people in line to check in. It took over an hour of waiting in line to check in. They did not have the room I booked ready so we had to use a pull out bed. Not comfortable. The bellhop brought our bags up and said he would ring to have water brought to our room because there weren’t even any cups to drink from. The water never arrived. The toilet handle is almost broken off. It’s really bad.

A great location near metro stops and walkable to Times Square, 5th avenue, Rockefeller Center and Central Park. Very busy, but our room was nice and quiet.
