The room was great for the proximity of being close to everything. The room needed a little bit of cosmetic work as there was some peeling paint on the ceilings and walls, but overall it was a comfortable stay.

Paying for location, not hotel. Service was great

Service is very good. Hotel is dated and not kept up very well. The bed frames were threatening to break anytime you moved, there was a hole in the bathroom window, marks all over the walls. Nothing keeping you from enjoying a decent night on a bed in a room after a fun night in the thick of midtown manhattan - but the location is what you’re paying for and it is right where you want to be.

The staff were very nice and helpful, and the hotel is nice overall. But, we did have some issues with some things in the room. They advertised having "Pillowtop mattresses", but that was not the case in our "Deluxe Double Queen" room. We found the mattresses to be just a regular mattress that was a bit too firm. The pillows were also too firm, and not very lofty. The windows seemed a bit outdated and didn't seal well, so street noise kept us from falling asleep right away, and there was also a bit of a draft. So, I had to use a bath towel to block the draft from the window that was closest to the bed that my wife and I slept in. Also, the room phone was completely dead. It appeared to me that the electrical adapter was missing, but the maintenance person, who was very nice, told us that they'd have to put in a service call to the manufacturer. Wasn't going to happen during our 2 night stay. But, he did jot down the main hotel number for us to call from our cell phones in case we needed something. Don't get me wrong though, even though there were some issues, they weren't deal-breakers for us. The price was pretty good, compared to similar area hotels, it's in an ideal area for what we came to do/see, overall the room, the hotel, & the staff were nice, & they have a decent deal with a garage that's within a short walk. If we stay again, we would try to get a room that's not facing the street. We probably wouldn't have much of a view, but I think it would be quieter.

Dirty, old hotel in a prime location. The windows are to an alley. No circulation. The floor was unleveled, and bugs in the bathroom.

The check in staff were polite. The baggage concierge was very helpful to stow bags while out of the room. The hotel was clean, but in poor condition. The beds were the lowest quality and wobbly. The shower tiles and curtain very worn. The toilet seat was halfway detached (loose on one side). Given the choice I would tell someone to spend the extra $100 for a better quality hotel in a similar area unless you have a very tight budget.

Very cute, good location, reasonably priced. VERY small. Our double stroller didn't fit in the elevator or through the door. Two people cannot pass each other in the hallways without going sideways. Very loud at night. But overall, fine foR NYC.

Not sure how they received a 4-star review. I think that 3 stars would have been generous. It's extremely small and the beds were basically falling apart and very uncomfortable. There was no way to reach the front desk unless you walked downstairs or waited for 20 mins for the elevator—which was so small and could desperately use an upgrade. The phone in the room was not on the network to call down for assistance (slow drain in the shower) and there was not one answering when calling directly. Overall they need to look at the star rating for this one for sure. It's very misleading and I definitely expected better.

OYO Times Square

The location is great, only minutes away from time square but the room is still nice and quiet at night. The room and facilities are what you would expect for the price, nothing fancy but nice and clean and does the job if just looking for a place to sleep after a busy day exploring the city. The staff were friendly and helpful when required and we had no complaints overall. Only downside was the bedframe was metal and extremely noisy even with the smallest movement when sleeping.
