Nice hotel, but no AC before May!

Enjoyed our stay. The only caveat on comfort was that we were visiting in late April during a period when NYC was quite warm. The hotel had not turned on its AC for the summer season, yet, so our room was quite warm. The hotel sent up a fan to our room to moderate the heat, which was somewhat helpful. (AC would have been better). Otherwise, lovely place. Good bed, pillows, linens, and plenty of space.

While the location is unbeatable, on this trip the air conditioning was broken/off, so the room temperature was miserable! Also, the renovations have made the rooms dark with less useful furniture. Clean and quiet but NOT comfortable.

Lovely service team, but the hotel itself was hot as hell. It was like there was no AC or ventilation anywhere. The 47th floor bar has vinyl windows that seemingly have never been cleaned so this plus the head made it more of a foggy hot box than a killer view...

The room had no air conditioning while my wife stayed there last year during a heat wave. Coffee at $12 per cup--who are you kidding? The bathroom decor and lighting were hanging with dust. That room needed cleaning and painted surfaces needed repair and paint.

Have stayed at the Park Lane many times; this was the first since renovations. As a solo traveler the night club feel of the roof top bar wasn’t for me, but the first and second floor restaurants are still great. The staff in the second floor restaurant and the front desk were wonderful. Renovations aren’t worth the price increase. Can’t beat the location - the park, subway, theater district, great restaurants all just outside the door.
