I enjoyed my 4-night stay at The Allen. The hotel is quiet, the staff were helpful and the bed was comfortable. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area, with Orchard Street being right behind the hotel.

You need to decide what kind of action you want to be in the center of. If it’s Times Square or UWS, look elsewhere. The Allen Hotel is in a fantastic location, very easy for exploring the Lower East Side and Brooklyn. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a little bit of noise from the street as Allen Street is a main road, but I slept well. There are plenty of places nearby for breakfast and it was great to have a wide range of options. Orchard Street nearby has lots of restaurants. Overall I was very happy with my stay and also felt safe there.

This was a hotel that was very convenient for us. In a perfect location. The rooms are super small. The double beds were smaller than full beds. Initially I was disappointed, however by the time we left we were very happy. But if you have adults sharing a bed. It is very small. The hotel was very clean and staff was great.
