When asked if early check in was available, I was told there were rooms ready early for $70 fee. They didn’t recognize Expedia platinum status and when I asked about drink perks they said they would send bottle of wine but never did. Hotel itself was nice but staff was disappointing.

Property was in a ok location, what it makes a difference is the staff, the service, and security in a hotel. In this case the check out staff was awful and unprofessional. The man who was working Sunday morning should have some customer service class. I pick reserve now pay later option most of the times so I can pay cash on my way out to travel back home “cash lite “, when I wanted to pay he didn’t want to take the cash and reply: this is not a bank…………. Ok……. I never had this kind of sarcastic answer from a staff in my over 10 year traveling for business. He was also being mean to a couple who was trying to check in. Bottom line never back, and please you can do better hotel wise in NYC. I’m really disappointed with this experience.

Changes over the past 5 years.

I used to stay here all the time before the pandemic when I came to the City for work each Spring. I miss the coffee service, breakfast at the adjoining restaurant and the lounge bar they used to have. I didn't realize we would all have to go out to find coffee in the morning when I booked. The neighborhood is convenient to a lot, although this block is under construction so there's scaffolding. I don't imagine I will stay here again, as I like having coffee and breakfast at the hotels I stay in before I start my workday.

What a beautiful gem. The Gregorian is a boutique French-style hotel tucked away on a quiet street in heart of Midtown. Great restaurants and a bakery within a few steps. We cannot wait to come back and will be booking this hotel for every visit to the city. Chef’s kiss, five stars!
