The rooms were nice, the location was great. Front Desk staff fell short with hospitality. Management did try to make things right by offering me a dinner credit and drink credits. Hotel did not advertise that scaffolding was obstructing views on their website. Hotel has a lot of potential. I expected better from such a well established hotel. I’m not sure if I would stay here again. There is too much competition in the New York Times Square area that charge the same price or even less that I’ve stayed at and had great experiences.

Our stay at the hotel was excellent! The staff is really incredible special thanks to Lucy and Betty for making our stay even more special! The location and rooms are just perfect, look no further this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Ny! The only bad part was that we had to leave 1 night earlier because of a snow storm and since we prepared the hotel we lost one night.

Overall, the room was pretty shabby and beat up with lots of dents and scrapes and chipped finishes. The room was quite spacious for NYC, with high ceilings and the king bed super comfortable with a well designed large wardrobe. The bathroom was absolutely freezing at all times, and smelled of the neighbours constant pot smoking. The bellmen and lobby staff were very friendly and courteous: in contrast with the checkin staff who were both cold and unwelcoming. The food was meh, and the meals very overpriced. It was a shame that the grand history and colourful splendour of the property has been washed away with beige modernization. It’s a nice location, better than the surrounding chain hotels, but not worth the price.
