Hard to beat the location/price combo

Cosy little hotel right in the hot spot of Manhattan. We really liked the Guest Lounge, even though the complimentary pastry was sometimes not at it's peak and ran out before we managed to get some. Overall a nice stay, nice staff and - Jerry - ma man really stands out of the bunch! We were a bit unfortunate because of the building/renovation site and I wish it would have been mentioned before, other than that we were happy.

It was my first time visiting NYC and I couldn’t have stayed at a better place! Quiet room with a comfortable bed. It had everything I needed and was close to all the places I wanted to visit. I would definitely stay here again.

Expedia misadvertised this hotel: it is a nice hotel as is but it’s not a 4-star hotel. Breakfast is just croissants and muffins, nothing else. No restaurants. Shower needs some repair. You hear noise from above and hallways. But the staff, I stayed there 5 days, were all great.

Moderne hotel was perfect location! They were accommodating to our pet and were a good price! What we loved: - location - pet friendly - parking right beside hotel - baked goods for breakfast - drinks available all day - comfy chairs in lounge - quiet (couldn’t hear much noise from outside) Things that would have improved our stay: - help getting our stroller up the front steps (no ramp) - more comfortable mattress (it’s legit hard as rock) - a better heating unit or a humidifier (maybe it was just our room but the heating unit in 305 was a window unit and it left us having very dry throats every morning)

I searched for hotels with BREAKFAST, i picked MODERNER. I ASKED THE FOR BREAKFAST AT 9:39am they said NONE because i am late. There was nothing in the guest lounge. Time of breakfast is from 7am to 10am but nothing left at 9:39am. I dont know what to say

The location is great. However, the property is not in good condition and needs renovation. The wear and tear of furniture, walls, curtains and blinds is beyond reasonable. There is not enough comfortable seating in the lobby. There is only one small elevator in the hotel for guests and staff. The AC in the first room I got was very noisy, and I had to change rooms. When I needed help carrying a suitcase down the stairs, no one came to help. Overall, the theater district has much better hotels for the same price.

The hotel is OK, but it lacks the updating and amenities that would put it over the top. It is in a great location but seems dated and very worn. I was given a room on the first floor and could hear everything that went on at the check-in desk as clear as day.

We loved our stay at Moderne Hotel! The location is perfect and very close to several subway and bus routes. The room was quiet and spacious. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The free pastries and hot drinks every morning saved us time and money. The hotel was super clean. The best thing was the kindness of the front desk staff who answered all of our questions and helping us find our way around. We would highly recommend Moderne Hotel!
