A dated hotel and sub par service.

I booked this stay at the last minute due to a flight cancellation and rebooking for the next day. I arrived at the hotel late in the evening and was greeted by a friendly staff member who checked me in and upgraded me, which was a nice gesture. The upgraded room however did not feel like an upgrade. There was no body wash refilled into the container, the towel railing was missing, the thermostat went off halfway through the night and the room was in the corner of the hotel where clearly housekeeping gather in the morning. There was loud talking and banging from 7am. The hotel is also dated. There are much better options in New York that are cheaper and newer. This would not classify as a 4 star in my book. And to top it all off, I collected my bag and asked the doorman to get me a cab. After a while of waiting, I went to go check and he and his boss were in the middle of an argument on the street, while my cab and I sat waiting for 10 minutes without knowing. I was late to the airport because of this.

This was a really lovely hotel. Great location, mostly residential, and really quiet. The rooftop bar was gorgeous with views of the Empire State and the Chrysler (depending on where you were sitting). The staff were friendly and super helpful when needed. The room was really large for Manhattan and we had a double aspect which was great. The kitchen was small but enough for us. My only negative comments are that the shower wasn't really very good and the whole room could do with updating. But putting that aside I would 100% recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. 🙂

Two elevators not adequate for the number of people in the hotel. The $144.60 Hotel fee is exhorbitant. No heating provided for the rooms. The ambient temperature in the rooms was 60 degrees on May 21, 2025

As a VIP Gold member, I must say I am extremely disappointed. I was given an accessible room instead of one that suits my needs, and I did not receive any upgrade. The shower water overflows into the room, and there’s no proper surface to place my belongings. The bathroom is completely unsuitable for someone who is not disabled — the sink is uncomfortably low, causing back pain, the toilet is also too low, and the walls are filled with support bars that make the space feel cramped and clinical. You managed to ruin my trip experience and my time with my son in New York. In short — a disaster. The room is equivalent to a one-star hotel. My clear recommendation: stay away from this hotel!
