I always try and stay here on my trip to Newcastle, perfect location in the city centre. Would stay here a few times a year, only downside in the food in the restaurant Isn’t the best, breakfast is fine but the dinner can be hit or miss.

Nice modern hotel. Room was reasonable size, clean, had everything you'd need and was comfortable. I didn't eat or drink there. The only slight inconvenience is the lack of parking but there's a couple of multi storeys a few minutes walk away. I paid £23 for 24 hours.
There was a good variety of food for breakfast and its location is great for seeing the Newcastle sites.

The pros: The location was great: close to the train station, shops and bars. Comfy bed and I slept well.
The cons: We were surprised that as a modern hotel there was no fridge in the room.
The customer service was poor. We reported to reception that the toliet was faulty. The staff member did not allow me to give details of the issue and said she would get maintenance to look at it. They did not attend to it.
This morning we returned to the room after breakfast to find that we were locked out as our keys had been timed out. If you check in online, it locks you out at 10am on the day of departure rather than 11am. Moreover, they have not changed the time to take into account the end of British Summer Time. After returning downstairs the response was that there are a lot of locks to change. It is a problem they are clearly aware of so why not put a sign up warning people!
