Dirty room

The staff were all very welcoming and pleasant, so I hesitate to give a bad review. But room cleanliness is important and cannot be overlooked. Upon entering the building I noticed a fresh scent of disinfectant, so I was hopeful. Overall, the hotel appeared clean but our room was quite dirty, especially the bathroom. The outside of the toilet bowl and the floor around the toilet had old urine stains, odor, visible dust and grime. There was quite a bit of hair stuck to the bathroom walls, it appeared as if someone’s hair had shed while blow-drying and then housekeeping never noticed this while cleaning the room. The ventilation in the bathroom was terrible, the steam did not dissipate during or after my shower. I suspect mold in the ducts because I sneezed an alarming number of times while I was shut inside the steamy bathroom. There was a sticky residue on the bathroom floor and on most horizontal surfaces throughout the entire room, including the granite countertop in the kitchenette. I used a hand wipe to touch up these surfaces and pulled off some grey grime and a red sauce like ketchup off of the granite. Also the smoke detector in the sitting area constantly made a cricket-like sound that was not loud but was noticeable and irritating. There was visible dust inside the smoke detector. I did consider switching hotels but there were a number of logistical reasons why it was better for us to stay for one night. I don’t think I’d stay here again the next time I’m in town.

The ladies on the housekeeping team were AWSOME !!!! They were so nice and attentive to me when I needed more towels My room and the hallway smells so good every day Also the workers in the laundry room on the 1st floor would wave hello to me when I walked past them Also the maintenance workers was there ASAP when my tv stopped working, when my husband walked to the front desk he immediately walked to our room with my husband and fixed the tv immediately I had the pleasure to meet Kevin the front desk clerk, he was so polite and respectful Thanks to the Entire Staff of comfort inn and suites for being so friendly I will return the next time I’m in town 😊

The room smelled like they just put bleach over dirt and said good, its clean. The sink was dirty when i arrived. It looked like someone had eaten and wiped their hands on the knob, plus it was sticky... looked like syrup or something was on it. Smelled like syurp. The shower walls wasnt that clean either. I usually always clean the toilet if i stay at hotel. I went to the dollar tree bought some dawn and faboluso... cleaned the sink (that was before i saw the syrup) cleaned the toilet, cleaned the shower walls... i let the tub soak ( thinking i woukd take a bath.) Its rare that ill take a bath at a hotel... but u really wanted to just soak after a long week of work... but instead the tub was pelling paint..... so i take it.. they paint over the dull look of the tub. They painted over it white. Like the paint peeled so you can see the dirtiness look that was there before they decided to paint it. With me seeing that. I know for a fact they cant clean or swap the sheets too good. I always take everything off, sheets, pillowcases and forgot to bring mine this time. This was actually my first time staying at comfort inn... and i wont be anymore. 🤗 i said i would write the choice hotel people too.

I booked this hotel on Expedia as I do every other hotel I’ve ever stayed at and the lady that called me at this hotel was very rude. She called me three times telling me that I need to put down payment on the hotel and then something else and ask her something else to ask her to explain it and she got attitude and was like well. I need the money now because you booked with third party. Which I didn’t understand and basically telling me that they would cancel our hotel if we didn’t pay the down payment so I got my mom to call just to get me a better understanding. My mom was taking to her trying to get the info that she needed and the lady hung up her not once but twice. I just wanted to know what was going on and to make sure I had my room so I had to book another room and just pay ahead of time because I wasn’t sure if I was going to still have my room which I needed. Anyway once we got there was an older gentleman there who was nice and help us get all situated with no problem. We got our room which was nice and we were able to not be stressed anymore. I most definitely would still recommend this hotel but just make sure to pay ahead if you can cause that situation was so unnecessary
