Overall the hotel was good, staff was good, breakfast was good but a concern is usage of the beach cabanas which non-guests was able to occupy so if guests of the hotel cannot use beach cabanas this could be a problem when its high season. The restroom by the beach access area the floor was wet one day by the water fountain either from the fountain or sprinkler and I fell but not seriously hurt so the floor has to be mop up. Another issue is the elevator floor was dirty by guests dropping food or wet floor on the elevator floor and was not clean or mop up even the next day.

I like that the resort is quiet and not crowded at the beach. It is very clean. The ocean front room with pergola is great. Best room to watch sunset. Ordered room dining and enjoyed the view.

Pros: beautiful resort, very clean, great pool area, nice suite with kitchenette, plenty of free parking, super friendly staff, excellent free buffet breakfast. Cons: you had to cross the road to get to the beach, beach itself was very disappointing as it was rocky with very course sand. Go south half a mile and the beat was beautiful. You can also go north about a mile and the hotels were literally on the beach with lots of restaurants and nightlife. The embassy suites would have been wonderful had the location been better. I thought we were going to be on the beach, but in reality we had to pack up our beach bags and drive somewhere to have a true beach day. My fault for not researching a little better. There was also a building of some sort, looks like mid-rise condos being constructed directly across the street on the beach. So there was construction noise, and fenced off beach access. Overall, the hotel itself is great, but I would not stay here again because of the location. Good to know: everywhere on Aruba took US currency. However, the hotel had no ATM. There were no ATMs nearby, finally found one that was working at a nearby casino. It was hard to use the cash inside the Embassy suites, because they could not change large bills. So bring small denomination cash with you!
