We LOVE IT HERE too! So pleased with our room, the fantastic restaurant and wonderful staff at the North Hero Inn. The room was so welcoming and the view of the lake from our back patio was stunning. The free breakfast quiche was so tasty. Can’t wait to visit again.

I just found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The view from my room for sunrise over Lake Champlain was perfect! I love the setting, the restaurant and atmosphere, and the breakfast was great! The bed and linens were comfy. I wish I had had more than one evening to spend here.

The staff was excellent. Offered a LOT of info about the property, area, etc. The dining was excellent. Our dinners were delicious. Complimentary breakfast was better than many that I have paid for. A server called in sick the morning that we were there. If we hadn't been told, we probably wouldn't have known. The staff was that good, and the morning view of the lake from porch was awesome. The room was small but everything worked. The bed was a little firm but that's a personal preference. Outside our door was a screened in porch with a great view of the lake and rockers. There was easy access to the beach and a "pier" with Adirondack chairs. The only negative is that windows were single pane. Noise from traffic on the road (the main artery in the Champlain Islands and immediately next to the building) might be a problem if you are a light sleeper or like to sleep late. We visited during foliage season and found lots of interesting things to do. We plan to return next summer when the bikes (which were in use) and kayaks (which were not) will get us out.

Beautiful inn - very comfortable room, excellent complimentary breakfast and restaurant on site. The downside was that our room was up on the 3rd floor and stairs up to our room were narrow and steep. It may have been quite difficif no impossible for an elderly person to go up and down the syairs- esp with luggage.

All of North Hero Island is a vacation-within-a-vacation. We loved-and needed!-this break from the stress of every day life, and we're so glad we found this unique place. We especially enjoyed the perfect 180-degree view of the lake from our screened-in porch, a comfy king sized bed and great shower, and the delicious complimentary breakfast. Our only real issue was that because we arrived after 11 pm and everything was tucked in for the night, we had trouble locating the entrance in the dark! (It's on the side, toward the back.) Perhaps a small light over the sign would keep other night owls from having to tromp around in the grass with their suitcases, searching for the right door. The Pier Bar just next door to our cottage was also a happy surprise. Highly recommend this cozy, unforgettable place!
