The Neighborhood:

Northampton is a large market town resting within the East Midlands in the county of Northamptonshire and lying on the River Nene. Its history dates back to the Bronze Age, with the town growing during the industrial revolution and the arrival of the Grand Union Canal, allowing it to become a centre for footwear and leather manufacture. Nowadays, Northampton is home to a university, several parks and gardens, and some unique architecture, along with plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants and attractions. Delight in a trip to Brixworth Country Park which caters to a wide range of ages with cycling and walking trails to explore, along with picnic spots and a lake. Treat yourself to some retail therapy in Northampton's Grosvenor Centre with a multitude of shops to browse. Visit the only house in England designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, with fans of the modern architect able to wander through this restored house, originally built in 1815, learning the history of Mackintosh.
